The RTP Awards is aimed at recognizing the work of Radio and TV personalities over a period and reward personalities for their immense contribution towards the development of the industry in Ghana, and have also endeared themselves to listeners and viewers.
Auntie Afia Konadu won the Radio Development Programme of the Year and Nana Yaa Konadu won the Radio newscaster of the Year (Twi).
Peace Power Sports was also adjudged Radio Sports Programme of the Year.
Okay FM's Kwame Nkrumah 'Tikesie' won Radio Show Host; Greater Accra.
Peace FM has the corporate brand, ‘Obiara Se Eye’, which literarily means “everyone says it is good” and the station has received several awards, especially for its morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi.
‘Kokrokoo’ won the CIMG Radio Program of the Year Award (2004 and 2007), and the Radio and Television Programme Award (RTPA) for Best Morning Show, 2010.
Sefa Kayi also scooped the RTP Morning Show Host of the Year (Radio) award at the same event.
Then at the 20th Arts Critics and Reviewers Association of Ghana Awards in 2008, Sefa Kayi was adjudged the Best Male Radio Personality.
