LYDIA FORSON NEARLY STABS ANGRY ABUSER

Actress Lydia Forson has confessed to nearly stabbing an abusive stranger in a road rage saga.

She says the stranger crossed her recklessly with a motor bike – a situation that almost resulted in a crash.

The stranger, who suddenly became a frenetic abusive stalker, according to Lydia, threatened to assault her in the open amidst a deluge of insults.

“And when he sees I'm ignoring him he rushes up to me and threatens to beat me. The Fanti woman that I am was tempted to reach into my bag for my knife and stab him. But then I refused to allow this man drag me down into his obviously unhappy life”, Lydia wrote on her facebook wall.

Below is the full story as told by Lydia Forson on her Facebook wall

So this man on a motor cycle crosses me in traffic and as upset as I am I just decide to continue driving.

A few minutes later I realise he's been following me hurling insults at me.

I get to my destination and he jumps off the bike to confront me, calling me a prostitute and he doubts am married and I will never marry.

It takes all the energy in me to stay calm. And I ask, what do these insults have to do with what just happened?

And if anything I should be upset he nearly caused an accident. For five minutes he continues to insult me with the same “prostitute, you will never marry".

And when he sees I'm ignoring him he rushes up to me and threatens to beat me. The Fanti woman that I am was tempted to reach into my bag for my knife and stab him. But then I refused to allow this man drag me down into his obviously unhappy life.

He starts to hit my car, trying to provoke me to say or do something. And then I finally say, if he wants to beat me in full glare of everyone he should do so at least I will have witnesses.

I was tempted to do a lot of crazy things within the 20 mins this went on but something just kept telling me that this guy just wants to provoke me.

I allowed him do this and after a while, drove of.

I parked somewhere and called my mum, who is always my voice of reason.

As I calmed down three things kept ringing in my head

1) Why do most Ghanaian men feel that calling a girl a prostitute is the highest form of insult? If I am, what do you call the man who sleeps with a prostitute

2) Why do most Ghanaian men feel by telling a girl she will never marry, it should make her panic or feel less worthy? Have you ever considered that not every woman thinks marriage the greatest thing on earth? Some women really don't care much for it and are quite content with the way things are in their life.

3) Why do people look on when someone is clearly being abused? We become spectators and comment on other peoples’ lives when we could easily jump in to help. Any sensible person would have tried to stop this man, but they all watched like they were watching a movie. So if this man had killed me what would they say?

So here's my conclusion, and at this point I really don't give two cents if you agree or not.

A lot of African men are just bitter, bitter to see a successful woman and bitter that a woman may have more than them. The stupid assumption that every woman needs a man to make money is the reason why they're quick to call you a prostitute because apparently I couldn't have bought anything I own with my own money.

Today just confirmed everything I've ever thought about some men in this country. And I feel sorry for the children these people will raise, because really what can you teach them?

That's why I hardly feel sorry for certain people, bitterness is the reason why they haven't and will probably never progress.

Oh and FYI if prostituting were that easy, everyone would be doing some.

KEITTA SPOTTED CUDDLING THE GIRL SHE DUMPED EAZZY FOR IN A CLUB! (PHOTO)

Few days ago, it emerged that Keitta pulled the plug on Eazzy because of a certain young fair girl - Arisa, who happens to be rapper - Tinny’s ex-girlfriend.

We are told Eazzy has denied the fact that she was dumped by Keitta because he met this new girl who he has fallen in love with, at the time he has fallen out of Eazzy’s love…

We didn’t think Keitta will step into a project that Tinny has walked through several years — especially when he has the full scoop.

But a reader with username - Lin sent in the above photo with the message;

Hello GC Team,

This is just a quick one. Apparently, Keitta was spotted in a club yesterday cuddling with the girl she dumped Eazzy for —- and it is the same girl who dated rapper - Tinny.

KUMASI MOVIES ARE IMPROPERLY SCRIPTED - GAVIVINA TAMAKLOE

Ace actor Gavivina Tamakloe has openly confessed during an exclusive interview with Flex newspaper in his office in Accra that he’s not a fan of movies.

“Movies produced lately depict same storylines and casts. The movies are so boring and predictable that I can’t spend time to watch them fully. Sometimes, I have to view the montage and cast names then forward to the end.” Mr. Tamakloe craftily sensing the next question would be “Why then, are you into acting?” was quick to add that he does act just to earn income.

In a question as to whether he loved Kumawood movies, he responded that he knows nothing about the said name yet but revealed that Kumasi movies are improperly scripted.

“Only acts, scenes, props and locations are recorded, without dialogues. The rest is improvisation. Hence, the talkative of the day becomes the star. Therefore, the actors turn to make humorous and verbally insulting comments in order to have more to say. Movies portray our real lives.

As a result, the emotions related to every instance must be displayed rightfully. It shouldn’t just be like making audience laugh all the time even when there’s a tragic incident in a scene. Juju and witchcraft should not always be given a standard in our culture. Meanwhile, that is not the only means of telling our stories,” he added.

SLIM BUSTER LASHES SARKODIE OVER AZONTO CLAIM

ust when we thought the dust has settled over who owns the almighty Ghanaian dance, Slim Buster has stepped on Sarkodie’s toes over who actually brought the dance.

During a performance on TV3’s Music Music, Slim Busterr paused to interact with the audience. He said “Azonto is known to be a Ga dance therefore, how can an Asante-born claim to be the originator of the dance.”

This statement is in apparent response to the claim by the self-acclaimed fastest rapper in GH, Sarkodie’s claim that he created Azonto.

This action by Slim Busterr has left many music followers to wonder what Sarkodie’s response will be, knowing very well that the Obidiponbidi, will not leave matters concerning him to lie low.

Whatever the case may be, we are optimistic of a quick response from Sarkodie.

NADIA BUARI & JIM IYKE SPOTTED RECENTLY

In spite of wide spread rumours that Nollywood star couple Nadia Buari and Jim Iyke have gone their separate ways which resulted in Nadia removing all pictures of Jim from her Instagram, it appears they are still together going strong.

They were spotted at a men’s grooming salon in East Legon today with Nadia showing lots of affection for her man.

Irrespective of the spread gist, Nadia was also spotted at the just ended Glitz Africa Fashion Week with her man. Again they were spotted at the studio for the final cut of ‘Dairy of Imogen Brown’.

All these have taken place in less than a week and this leaves many to ponder on the next beat that will be played for all to dance from the couple of the moment.

I’LL SHOW MY BOOBS AGAIN, VERY SOON - YVONNE OKORO

Actress Yvonne Okoro appears unperturbed about the public backlash she received for the dress she wore to the last African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), which gave a good view of her sexy cleavage.

The beautiful actress, who is known for wearing dresses or clothes that cover her sexy and vital parts, has disclosed to a closed source that she would not hesitate to wear the same style any day.

She indeed got the whole of Africa talking about her dress for over a week when she popped up at the 2012 edition of the AMAA awards in her black Jovani dress that revealed her tempting cleavage. She amazed people who knew that wasn’t her usual style.

It is almost a year now and media guns are still talking about the dress and wondering if she would repeat it in case she makes it to this year’s AMAA.

Before now, she had hinted that she won’t hesitate to show boobs on ‘Fashion 101’ TV show and that she decided to vary her style – the reason for wearing the dress to last year’s AMAA. “Give me another colour and I will rock it,” she added.

Yvonne currently is one of the biggest fashionistas in Africa. She knows when to wear what and get people’s attention.

NANA AMA SHAVES IT ALL FOR LILWIN AND AKROBETO

Not too many actresses would completely shave their hair for a movie role but Nana Ama McBrown has just done that. She has shaved all her hair in a movie called Atemmuo (Judgement) which will be released at the end of December.

In the movie, Nana Ama shaved her hair for a trial by ordeal where she needed to prove her innocence in the death of her husband.

“I wanted to make the movie look real so I shaved all my hair. It was my first time of going completely bald in a movie,” she said.

“Although it is not out yet, I can boldly say that Atemmuo is one of the best movies I have ever shot in my acting career.  I entreat everyone to grab a copy when it comes out” Nana Ama told Showbiz in an interview.

She wouldn’t, however, disclose how much she was paid to shave it all off for the role though she hinted the amount was attractive.  “Yes, the money was very good but I did not shave for the money. I shaved my hair because I wanted the film to be as real as possible. I wouldn’t mind going bald again if the storyline and the money involved are good,” she added.

Asked how she felt now that the filming of Atemmuo was over and her hair was yet to grow back, the actress said she had actually killed two birds with one stone.

“My hair has started growing and I have even done another movie called School Girl with it. I feel good wearing my hair this way. I have decided not to wear a wig. I just want it to grow naturally and I am cool with that.”

Talking about the movie, Nana Ama said her poor mason husband couldn’t do without staking lotto. She constantly advised him to stop staking lotto but the very day he decided to heed her advice, he won a huge sum. They therefore left the village for the big city to start life afresh.

Out of hatred, her sister-in-law, Bruwaa played by Amanda Jissih, plans to kill her but instead kills her own brother. Nana Ama is accussed of killing her husband and has to shave her hair as she goes through trial by ordeal to prove her innocence. Atemmuo also features Lil Win and Akrobeto.
