After being accused of sleeping with
two sisters in a news report that went viral in 2013, Nollywood actor,
Desmond Elliot kept silent on the matter until recently, when he reacted
to the issue. He stated in an interview that nothing of such happened,
stating that the girls in question were just wards under his care.
According
to the actor, it's not a must that to be related to someone by blood,
adding that the girls were just family friends who he took care of
because their parents travelled abroad.
He noted that it was an
accusation that had no foundation and boasted that the writer of the
article had to apologise to him for creating such a distraction.
"I
don’t know. It was baseless. The ladies in question are my wards and I
take care of them. Do I have to be related to them by blood? We are
family friends and we have been family friends for years. Their parents
are abroad and whenever they are in Nigeria, they stay with me, so it
was a baseless distraction and the person who did the article about me
has since apologised," he explained.

Hip-life artiste Kofi B says he is
happy about the court action that threw the old board of the Ghana Music
Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) out of office.
Kofi B was part of a campaign that sought for fairness, transparency and equity in the distribution of royalties by GHAMRO.
He
was also one of the strong voices among other musicians who had been
calling on the former Chairman of GHAMRO, Carlos Sakyi and the rest of
his team to explain why the board was still in office when the
organisation’s constitution said he shall remain in office for a maximum
of two years – which elapsed in May 2013.
“We were all fighting
for the old board to step aside and that is what the court granted us.
So everyone is okay about it,” Kofi B told NEWS-ONE.
About two
weeks ago, a Human Rights Court ordered the Carlos Sakyi-led board to
step aside, setting up another interim board made up of Enoch Agyepong,
Nana Aboagye Dacosta and Kwame Nsiah Apau also known as Okyeame Kwame to
operate for six months and ensure that structures are put in place for
proper elections to be conducted to elect a permanent board for GHAMRO.
Speaking
on the interim board, Kofi B stated that since the new board had barely
started its operations, it was impossible for him to assess them.
“For
that one I cannot say anything about it because they are also new
people. I can only evaluate them after one month in office. But if the
elders in the industry agree that the interim board are competent, I
have nothing else to say,” he added.
Sources close to the organisation say the interim board of GHAMRO is expected to commence work in August.
Earlier this week, Belinda Nana Akua
Amoah aka Mzbel who happens to be the ex-girlfriend of missing Hipife
musician Theophilus Tagoe aka Castro, went to the same holiday resort
Aqua Safari in Ada where the musician disappeared with Janet Bandu.
It
is not clear if Mzbel went to Ada in search of her former lover or she
went on holiday but onlookers and sources in Ada have disclosed to
Peacefmonline.com that the “Sixteen Years’ hit singer was spotted jet
skiing on the same Ada River where Castro's unfortunate incident
happened.
Pictures on Mzbel’s social media pages have further confirmed that she was indeed in Ada after Castro’s incident.
It’s
been almost three weeks since the sudden disappearance of renowned
Hiplife artiste Castro and his acquaintance Janet Bandu.
Mzbel
and Castro de’ Destroyer have done a couple of songs together aside
their past romantic attachment during their happy days. She featured
Castro on her Domestic Violence song “Sixteen years” and “Yopoo” on the
same album, and subsequent songs including “E Dey Be”.
Several individuals and organizations
including the Police, friends and families of both Castro and Janet and
the media have visited Ada for firsthand information on the mystery.
In
the past weeks some friends and well-wishers like Selly of Big Brother
fame and her boyfriend Big J, Hiplife musician Barima Sidney, Ashanti
regional NPP chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly called Chairman
Wontumi and some spiritual leaders have all been to Ada to show their
solidarity and help in their respective ways to search for Castro and
Janet Bandu.
As family, friends and fans of Castro all over the
world hopefully waits Castro’s return, the big question being asked is,
whether Castro is dead or not since his body hasn't been found neither
that of Janet who got missing with him since there is no proof of
whether the musician and Janet are actually dead or not.
