DKB Slap Made Me More Popular– Zainab
DKB was on Monday, June 4, 2012 disqualified from the reality show for slapping Zainab who peeped at him while he was taking a shower.
Speaking exclusively on Showbiz Today with Bola Ray on Hitz Fm, Zainab noted that if she had not taken part in this year’s Big Brother reality show and received that slap, she would not have been this famous.
She said, “I am the girl with the most famous slap in Africa, I tell you that slap was not easy ooo. I tell you one thing for sure, DKB can slap. DKB is a professional slapper.”
She also said if she had seen that slap coming, she would have run for her life.
Zainab, who is also a model, however admitted that she had a big mouth and most contestants knew about it when they were in the Big Brother house but she said the slap was unexpected.
She revealed that DKB did not know that something like that could happen to them in the cause of their stay in the house.
Zainab disclosed that they had both gotten over it and were now good friends. “Well we are over it because I look at things in the positive side.
I don’t dwell on negativity, DKB is sorry, I have forgiven him. I have moved on, I hope he has.”
Zainab also disclosed exclusively on the show that she was planning to change her nationality and become a Ghanaian.
She said, “Have you been to my country? I don’t like it at all, so when I arrived in Ghana, I just said to myself, I’m gonna change my nationality.
I am going to be a Ghanaian and the most thing I like about Ghana is that, Former President Jerry John Rawlings is from Ghana.”
Zainab was in Ghana over the weekend to party with her Ghanaian housemates DKB, Keitta and Eazzy and she also used the opportunity to be part of the 4Syte Music Video Awards.
The model is currently based in Istanbul, Turkey and has done extensive runway shows for several magazines including Elle magazine, Marie Claire and Vogue.
A ‘purple’ of Becca this Harmattan Season
For a song which talks about two lovebirds who have coined a world of their own, living happily thereafter, it will be detrimental to anyone who wants to put asunder. Great video from the stables of Lynxx family and EKB records and it is a great masterpiece out of Ghana to the world.
The launch of the new video comes on the 1st of December, 2012 at the Tantra Night Club, with dress code having a touch of purple.
Prior to this launch, Becca has been working her sleeves out in the past few months preparing for what just came and gone, the Lagos Jazz Series(one of the biggest Jazz music festivals in Nigeria, organized annually by the Lagos Jazz Series Group founded by Oti Bazunu in 2010) which lasted for two days. An event she incredibly wowed the Nigerian and world fans who came to witness the uniqueness from Ghana.
For an event that had Bob James, 4 Play, Roy Hargrove, Nathan East, Lura, Burna Boy, 9ice, Omawumi, Waje, Cobhams Asuquo, and yet ‘stealing’ the hearts of the people, it speaks positive volume, thus, with that same zeal, Becca is ready for the season of love, starting with her video launch and the Girl Talk Concert.
Ayariga Cough Mixture Hits Town
It is therefore not surprising that a new type of cough mixture called ‘Ayari Cough Mixture 1 Touch’ has become popular on social media sites and indeed attracting interesting commentary.
The cough mixture seems to have been designed in jest of the People’s National Convention (PNC) presidential candidate, Hassan Ayariga, after he told the country he was suffering from severe cough.
Indeed, Mr. Ayariga attended the second round of the 2012 IEA presidential debate coughing profusely all through his delivery and could still be heard coughing even when his colleague debaters were on the floor.
Though Mr. Ayariga describes himself as a peaceful man, it is not yet clear how he would respond to the public humour being made about his cough.
God Angry With 5 Pastors – Cecilia Marfo

Gospel musician Cecilia Marfo has said God has told her He is angry
with five leading and well known pastors in Ghana and the results of the
anger may be disastrous for the country.The gospel singer has not mentioned the names of the five pastors God told her He is angry with but she says the said pastors have refused to hold large crusades to pray for the peace of Ghana as they were instructed by God.
According to the singer, the prophecy she received indicated that some five big men of God had been disobedient to Him and that alone could cause this nation a lot of harm during the elections.
Cecilia, also called ‘Prophetess’, said God told her these things in a prophecy that came to her at midnight while she was praying for the peace of Ghana.
She stated that the prophecy said the ‘devil’ had thrown some spiritual particles at some particular polling stations and those were the places that could generate trouble for the country.
“God then asked me in the prophecy to intercede for this country.
He said I should go round the city with speakers on my car and preach peace to people and also caution them of the plans of the evil in this election.
He continued that I should be holding mini crusades in different places in the city to pray with Ghanaians.
God said, when we do these things, He will shower some water to quench the fire the devil wants to spark in this year’s elections.
So, if you see me in your area, don’t be surprised at all but rather join me to spread the word and to also pray for this country.
And on 6th December, 2012, all believers in the Lord and well meaning Ghanaians will join me to intercede for the peace of our dear nation Ghana at the Obra Spots, Circle, Accra,” Cecilia added.
She noted: “I have also invited all political leaders and their party members to be present at the worship and prayer night.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama will be the special guest of honor and the flag-bearers of other opposition parties in Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, Hassan Ayariga, Abu Sakara, and Paa Kwesi Ndoum.
There will be some reverend ministers from all Pentecostal, Charismatic and Orthodox Churches at the programme.”
Other musicians have also been invited to join the worship and prayer night to pray to stop the devil form his evil plans.
Samini knocks out Tema in Joy FM's Nite with the Stars
A major highlight of the night was Tema’s Kwaw Kese’s performance, which tiped the balance against the Accra contingent. Abodam, as he’s called, never fails to disappoint and Saturday night was no exception.
The “Odeim” singer, renowned for his stunning stagecraft, burst onto the stage with seven bikini-clad ladies who were generous enough to show some flesh to the charged audience. As they lined up on stage, the entire auditorium went bananas. Each bikini featured a letter, and when the women stood in a line, these combined to form the word MADTIME!
Kwaw Kese’s entrance was the tipping point as the auditorium rose to its feet, with everyone yelling in amazement at one of the heavyweights of the Ghanaian music industry. Indeed, the showstopper enchanted the audience as they sung along to his hits “Poppin”, “Let me do my thing”, “Nonsense” and “Odeim.”
But as is to be expected, his performance did not go without controversy. The “Nonsense” man brought a placard on stage bearing the inscription “VIP,” which he proceeded to throw to the ground and trample.
The group VIP performed after Kese, registering their displeasure as soon as they burst on stage, but their complaints were brief and the partying continued. The talented trio, backed by dancers in military uniforms, whipped the audience up quickly. The crowed danced as it sang along to hit songs such as “Besin”, “I think I like am”, “Away”, “Ahomka” and others.
When R2Bees who were set to perform, there was a fracas backstage between the Accra-based VIP and the Tema-based Kwaw Kese. It took the timely intervention of security personnel, organizers and some musicians to prevent the confrontation from becoming a brawl.

Buk Bak were first to appear on stage. They did a rendition of some classic songs that had shot them to fame in the late 90’s and the 2000’s. Their songs got the audience singing along. They electrified the audience but it was their newest single that really got the audience “Kolom”ising.
After a night full of events that threatened to mar the beauty of the show, the organizers offered up last act, the Accra-based Samini. The party started as soon as the night’s MC, Bola Ray, announced that Samini was next to perform. Intent on catching every moment of the show, everyone jumped onto their seats in earnest anticipation.
Samini started off slow before falling into a high tempo. The energetic Dagarti man got everyone on their feet and dancing including Adentan MP Gabriel Adu-Asare aka the Honorable Swaga. After songs such as “Sweet mistake,” “Odo,” and “Where my baby dey,” the audience started chanting for an encore, and their demands were so deafening that 2011 Channel O award winner had to make a U-turn.
And Samini really saved the best for the last. As he performed “Girls Everywhere”, the auditorium again went gaga for one of the best entertainers in Ghana. After such marathon performance from musicians on both side of the Accra-Tema divide, it would be fair to say Kwaw Kese tried his best, but Samini nailed it for the capital, Accra!
But it was the winner of the MTN Hit Maker contest, the talented Naterial, who got the show started. As the first act, he had to set the pace for the show, and he did that exceptionally well, letting the audience know what was in store for them on such a beautiful night.
Keche also worked some magic for the crowd, and their performance was not only tasty like "Aluguntugui", but it was truly "Sorkode" as well.
One of the hottest Hip Life duos, Double and Slim, deserved more than the standing ovation that the audience accorded them. They made it clear why their hit song "Seke" has topped the local charts. Backed by some great dancers, Double and Slim were something else!
As the audience yearned for more, on came D-Black, the Ghana Buoy. As usual, the "Vera" man didn't disappoint. The energetic artiste was a definite audience favorite. With this, many wonered why "Vera" did D-Black like that.
2012 Big Brother StarGame winner involved in car accident
Reports say the accident that saw his ash Mini Cooper badly mangled, also left one of his arms badly damaged.
It is feared that the arm might have been broken at three different places.
Keagan confirmed the accident via his Facebook page shortly after checking into the Constantiaberg Hospital in Cape Town.
He said: “So was in a big car accident this morning, arm shattered in 3 places... To the guy whoever you are driving on my side of the road i forgive you! Much love people enjoy your weekend!”
Keagan beat 34 housemates selected from 14 African countries to win the grand prize of US$300,000 after 91 days of intense competition at this year’s Big Brother Africa reality show.
The 2012 edition, dubbed Big Brother Africa StarGame, was the seventh season of the reality which enjoys huge viewership across Africa.

Several news reports had speculated that Maxwell was responsible for Mzbel’s pregnancy and that Maxwell was believed to be her manager.
Indeed, when news broke that the musician was pregnant, she denied it vehemently but from all indications, the singer is very pregnant and cannot hide it any longer.
Already, she has a handsome son in his early teens.Perhaps, after delivery, the child’s father would not be hidden from the public any more.
But until then, the question still remains unanswered and her fans would continue to miss her public shows.
I made Guru's Lapaz Toyota a mega-hit - Bishop Obinim
Controversial self-styled Christian leader Bishop Daniel Obinim is in
the news again for another reason that has nothing to do with
Christianity.Bishop Obinim, leader of God’s Way Church, is claiming that he made circular music Lapaz Toyota, by hiplife artiste Guru, a mega-hit.
This revelation from a Christian leader comes as a shock, especially when ‘Lapaz Toyota’ was largely considered to have profane lyrics.
Bishop Obinim was recently shown on Metro TV telling his congregation that Guru sent him a copy of the Lapaz Toyota CD for special prayers to be said over the song and that after the prayers, the song became a hit.
The Christian Bishop and his congregation were seen on TV singing the song right in the church auditorium.
Meanwhile, opinions remain divided on whether Lapaz Toyota should be rated 18.
This follows claims that the song has some profane notes, with emphasis on a controversial and popular line somewhere in the lyrics which some music observers interpret to mean “Lick my d**k”.
However, Guru has raised objections, saying the song has got nothing profane in it and denied usage of profane words as “Lick my d**k.”
He spoke with NewsOne in a previous interview: “I believe in people and how they feel comfortable with what they think and how they think like.
That word is not lick my d**k or hit man. No, no, no, it is far from that. Even the starting of the song, people have their own way of interpreting.
But the word is hikma, it is a hook. I got that idea from an old song. Hikma is a name.
“No, Lapaz Toyota is not a profane song. I got this idea when I was driving around Lapaz. That was when I was planning for the new single after my Mmaa Kuo.
So I was trying to target the masses and targeting the masses is all about coming out with something that can build up to that line.
So I was driving around Lapaz, and I saw this well-dressed guy with the girlfriend seated by him in his car. They were kind of very happy but my only problem was the car.”
“You don’t expect such a beautiful girl and well-dressed guy to be in such a car. So I realized oh ok….I was trying to understand the reason why they were happy.
So I realized, we should be content with whatever we have. If the car does not look so good, they are still ok with it. It is kind of a priceless thing but they cherish it. That motivated me to record the song.
Somewhere along the line, while recording the song, these whole ideas came up. Lapaz Toyota is not referring to a lady, [but] rather appreciating something priceless,” he added.
