Actor Prince David Osei is either two timing or has dumped a lady he secretly engaged as far back as 2011, as he has been spotted with a beautiful lady believed to be his new girlfriend.

It will be recalled that the actor secretly got engaged to a woman, whose name was given as Nana Ama Asieduaa. The woman who also happens to be the mother of his three year old son, was an employee of intercontinental Bank, Ghana at the time.

The “Supremo” actor confirmed his engagement to Asieduwaa in an interview then saying “Yea I got engaged traditionally but the white wedding is yet to happen”. For some reason their white wedding never saw the light of day and a new lady is now warming his bed after almost two years even though he has not stated anywhere that he is no more together with the woman he got engaged to.

Peacefmonline.com investigations have revealed the name of the actor’s new girlfriend as Theresa Naa Banafoe and according a source close to the actor; Theresa and Prince have been together for over a year now and they seem to be so much in love.

Peacefmonline.com has spotted them together at several public events. Prince David Osei was spotted with his hot and sexy girlfriend, at the City People Entertainment Awards nominees’ party at the Exel Lounge few months ago, they were seen together at the launch of 4Syte TV Music Video Awards launch at the Silverstar towers, Airport City Accra on October 4 and the last time they were seen together in public was last Friday October 25 at the National Theatre during the premiere of Juliet Ibrahim’s “Number One Fan”.

Considering the fact that his relationship with his baby mama was kept away from the media but he is seen everywhere with his new lover, It is clear Prince David Osei's baby mama Nana Ama is completely out of the picture now.

KEITTA CHEATED WITH TINNY’S EX-GIRLFRIEND - EAZZY REVEALS

She’s been in the news for all the right reasons this year; from her impeccable hosting at the Ghana Music Awards, her recent banger and of course her just ended UK trip.

Sometimes being famous, talented, gorgeous and faithful is not enough to keep some men. The SCREAM hitmaker took to twitter to confirm the rumours of her break up with Keitta after 3years of being together; this actually got the media’s attention when they entered into last year’s BBA house as a couple!

After being spotted in clubs and raising eyebrows. It is from a great source close to Arisa that has confirmed the spewing romance between her and Keitta.

But looking at a broader picture, what could possibly make Keitta cheat on a girl as Eazzy with a 19year old first year University student. The said girl; Arisa happens to be Tinny’s Ex.

TERRY BONCHAKA'S MOTHER SUSPECTS TERRY WAS MURDERED!

Madam Charlotte Adjetey, the mother of the late talented musician, Terry Bonchaka, believes that her son did not die a natural death.

According to his mother, the ‘Poulele’ hitmaker was killed as events that led to his sudden demise were suspicious and unbelievable. Real name Terrence Nii Okang Mensah Adjetey, then a 21-year-old, died on Friday October 31, 2003 after performing at the Akuafo Hall of the University of Ghana in their Hall Week Celebration.

Adjetey met his untimely death in a fatal accident on the Legon-Madina road when the vehicle in which he was riding, together with friend Rasta, suddenly veered off the road and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the 37 Military Hospital. Speaking in an exclusive interview with TV3, an obviously sad and worried but relaxed mother spoke truly as a mother who truly knew her son. In Ghanaian tradition, it is believed that when the body of a dead person looks different from when the person was alive; it means the person did not die a natural death.

The change of face or a frown on the face of the body shows that the person is not happy with his or her demise. Consequently, when the remains look so much like when the person was alive, it is said to be a sign of a natural death.

Madam Charlotte Adjetey said she discovered a little mishap on the neck of her son, which gave her the indication that; indeed, her son was not called to rest by the Almighty God, and that there were some hidden hands at work somewhere.

She observed: “When they brought the body [Terry Bonchaka's remains] out … when you look at the neck, [it] was as if something has been done to the neck, so [for] me, I think something happened to him before [she paused for a while] they hit that tree … that’s what I can say,” she said in a shaking voice.

According to her, when she’s watching other musicians on television who started just like her son, “I just look at them and say if my boy [son] would have been here; maybe it would be more beautiful more than this. But they are also trying, they are doing well.”

She therefore advised musicians to be careful of persons they call friends, as not all friends are friends.

“They [musicians] should be careful of themselves because out there, it’s not the way you see it. There is something that you people should very be careful of, because not all friends are friends.” Terry Bonchaka left behind tunes such as Poulele, Ghana Lady, Lomnava, Bonchaka-ta, African Chow, Zoozey, Nkabom, Sweetie, Chichinapi, Ewurade, Kaasha Flash and others. 

SOMEBODY SHOULD STOP BLAKK RASTA!

It is no news that radio presenter and musician, Blakk Rasta and fellow musician, Wanlov The Kubolor have had a long standing feud which has resulted in the trading of words between the two for a while now. It is also no news that Blakk Rasta slapped Wanlov The Kubolor at the premises of the Multimedia Group in Accra last Friday. The incident has been buzzing hot over the last few days and has attracted a lot of discussions on some of the entertainment shows on different radio stations as well as on some websites and social media forums on the internet. The two of them spoke about it on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review programme last Saturday. My concern here is not to discuss the matter or the merits thereof (as that falls to the abused person and the police to deal with) but rather to tell somebody, whoever it is, who is in charge that, it was about time he/she brought Blakk Rasta to order. Blakk Rasta has been hosting the lunchtime programme on Hitz FM known as Taxi Driver since moving to the station from Happy FM for some time now. It is a show on which he plays reggae music alongside social commentary. The show gives Blakk Rasta the freedom and liberty to criticise anybody who needs to be criticised for what they did wrongly or even didn’t do and he has managed to keep a lot of people on their toes because they know they could appear wrongly on his show. As the industry people will know, Hitz FM is not among the most listened to stations either within the Multimedia Group or on the wider scale among stations operating in the nation’s capital. The Ipsos monthly diaries show it hoovers around 9th, 10th and 11th positions on monthly basis. It must be pointed out also that Blakk Rasta’s show is the most listened to on the channel and the likely driver of the general listenership and the concomitant modest position the station enjoys. Which means that but for Blakk Rasta the station would probably be further down the ‘food chain’ than it is now. So he is the star boy of the station, the jewel in their crown and the apple of their eye, but that should not give him the fiat and the garage to do whatever he wants and get away with it. Somebody has to let Blakk Rasta know that there are limits to everything. Not too long ago, the news leaked out that Blakk Rasta had a small misunderstanding with his work colleague, DJ Awana and before anybody could say ‘shogologobangoshie’ he had slapped the latter in the studios of Hitz FM. That action led the management of the station to give him a mild punishment when they sent him on a two week suspension and asked him to apologise to DJ Awana. Perhaps that punishment was not severe enough and maybe the reason he thinks he could do it to another person. Granted, Wanlov may not be the nicest guy in town and he can really get under your skin with some of his comments and actions (you have to follow him on Twitter or be his friend on Facebook to get the proper meaning of this) but this is not the jungle and we don’t go about like Tarzan slapping people we disagree with. I have said that Blakk Rasta criticises people on his shows from top government officials through security chiefs to the lowest person. He is within his rights to do so. I have been writing a column on radio and television presenters for 13 years and as part of that I have criticised many people, programmes and stations and in the process, I have stepped on many toes. Imagine all the people our criticisms are targeted at feel offended and decide to give us slaps, would Blakk Rasta and I have survived it till now? It is good to have issues with what people do or say about us, but in civilised societies, those issues are spoken about and dealt with without any resort to slaps. Slapping two people including a work colleague in such a short time is nothing to be condoned and Blakk Rasta should be told so in no uncertain terms. Indeed, somebody has to be able to stop the reggae artiste and presenter from slapping another person. Who knows, that next person to be slapped could be yours truly for having the audacity to ask that Blakk Rasta should be stopped from enjoying his stay in this gangster’s paradise he is trying to occupy!

 

I’M NOT DATING KAAKIE, SHE IS A BABY – SAMINI

Ghanaian dancehall artiste and CEO (Crucial Entertainment Outlaw) of music, Samini has finally cleared the air on allegations of him dating Kaakie.

Speaking to JoyNews entertainment programme “The White Carpet”, Samini stated emphatically that he is not dating the dancehall queen, whom he referred to as his ‘little girl’, “I’m not dating Kaakie,” she’s a baby. Am even looking forward to whoever is brave to handle my little girl”, he said.

Samini also commented about ‘dancehall king’ shata wale stating that he wouldn’t want his talent to fade out anytime soon as he is a real talent.

The well composed Samini said “for the strength of the dancehall music industry, it will be heavy to do a beat with Stone Bouy, Shata Wale, Kaakie, Jupiter and a host of dance hall artiste.

Samini might soon become the owner of a pub but is currently working on his new album, Next Page which will be outdoored soon.

UMAR KRUPP, MARTHA ANKOMAH IN TRIP TO HELL

Spirited Actor star, Umar Krupp is starring alongside popular actress Martha Ankomah in ‘Trip To Hell’, a new movie directed by Leila Djansi.

It is the first time the two are working together.
‘Trip To Hell’ is a horror movie and Leila is directing for Double D though earlier media reports claimed it was a production for Mabel Germain’s Access Media.

 Umar was recently in the news for directing his own movie and taking over the accolade ‘Ghana’s youngest director’ from onetime hot movie director and producer, Kobi Rana who had used the tag for over three years.

Martha was quoted for saying, “Leila doesn’t play with her work especially on set and I personally think she is and will remain one of the best directors to come from Africa. I am hoping this movie grabs a lot of nominations and awards in the coming year because of the hard work and dedication from the cast and crew.”

POPO ARRESTED IN KUMASI

Nigerian top actor, Osita Iheme, mostly known as ‘Popo’ was arrested while on a movie set in Kumasi on Thursday, NEWS-ONE gathered at press time.

Reports say the 31-year-old ‘smallish’ actor was on a Ghanaian movie set when the incident happened, but he has since been released.

Eyewitnesses said law enforcement agents dressed in mufti in the company of officials of the Ghana Actors Guild (GAG) and the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), walked into the set and accosted Popo for working in Ghana without a work permit.

The production has also been put on hold until the Nigerian actor gets the necessary work permit.

Public Relations Officer for FIPAG, Michael Kwaku Ola, however, explained to NEWS-ONE that there is an agreement among the movie industry players that any foreign film maker wanting to work in Ghana must first get an official work permit from the Ghana Actors Guild and a permit from FIPAG.

“Oh it was not both Aki and Popo. It was only Popo and there was a little issue because he did not have any of these permits. But he has not come for the permit from FIPAG and he is working on the others,” Ola explained.

He said the arrangement was aimed at protecting Ghanaian film makers from the influx of foreign nationals to the movie industry.

NANA KWAME AMPADU @ 50

Come December 27, 2013 a grand concert will be held at the National Theatre to celebrate the 50th anniversary of veteran musician, Nana Kwame Ampadu I and his African Brothers International Band.

This came to light at a brief but impressive anniversary launch held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra recently, which brought together family and friends of Nana Kwame Ampadu I as well as sponsors of the concert and members of the media.

Sitting in for Mr Kwame Ofosu Bamfo (Sikkens) who was chairman for the anniversary celebration, Mr George Oko Kweitsu of Dangbe Rural Bank urged Ghanaians to support Nana Ampadu in every way that they can to ensure a successful celebration.

“Nana Kwame Ampadu started his musical career ages ago when I was not even born and till date, he is still going strong,” he said.

Mr Kweitsu tasked individuals and corporate Ghana to come together and give this living legend a befitting celebration and not wait for him to die before organising a befitting burial as is typical of Ghanaians.

The Managing Director of Katamadara Concepts, Emma Boakye, whose outfit is organising the concert said they are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a highly successful event.

“It is a great honour to organise the 50th anniversary concert of Nana Kwame Ampadu and his band. He is indeed a living legend and has come a long way and we are proud to be associated with him,” she said. On behalf of the Musicians Union of Ghana, (MUSIGA), Kaakyire Kwame Appiah congratulated Nana Kwame Ampadu and assured him of the Union’s support at his concert.

There were solidarity messages from some sponsors including Vitamilk and Star Beer. They promised their unflinching love and support for Nana Ampadu and called on others to also come on board.

When he took over the microphone from David Dontoh, MC for the launch, Nana Ampadu sent everyone laughing, interlacing his brief speech with humour.

He said though many people may think he is too old to perform, he will surprise everyone on December 27, “I still have a lot of energy and you will all see that on the D-day.”

Nana Ampadu, who has over 800 songs to his credit, promised to release a four-track album on the night of the concert, songs that will change the mindset of Ghanaians, “you will hear it for the first time at the concert and I know you will love it,” he said.

Director for the upcoming concert, Osmo Nana Kwame Addo told Showbiz after the launch that it will be one great concert, something Ghanaians haven’t seen in a long while.

“Nana Ampadu is a huge figure in the local music industry and we intend to celebrate him in a grand style, 50 years in the industry is no child’s play and we will give patrons to the concert a time of their lives”, he said.

Me and Nollywood

Nigeria is like my second home. I think the acceptance was buoyed by the fact that I won the best supporting actress at Africa Movie Academy Awards. I came back the following year, got an award as the best actress in leading role and each time I came around, producers contacted me to take up roles in their movies and that was it.

First Nigerian movie

The first Nollywood movie I took part in was Sleepwalker; it was a joint collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria. It featured Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Noah, and Mercy Johnson to mention but a few.

Nollywood and Ghollywood

They are both growing in the right direction but I have noticed that life in Nollywood is more upbeat. For instance, whenever I am in Lagos, everything is moving fast! Nigerians are hasty when doing things while Ghanaians are laid back and relaxed. So, when I am in Nigeria, I double my speed and when I get back to Ghana, I relax again.

Journey into acting

I started acting at the age of 12 in my local church group. However, I became a professional actress when I starred in the TV series, Things We Do for Love. I have since evolved from that and learned a lot from everything around me including mistakes. As we grow older, a lot of things change and we mature in experience. I am a changed person, older, stronger, and wiser. My rise has been due to plenty of hard work and commitment to what I do. I always have it at the back of my mind that everything is possible. Impossibility does not exist in my dictionary. Sometimes, the best things happen when you just go with your instincts. I wouldn’t forget my team and crew, fellow actors and actresses who all contributed to where I am today. Above all, talent is a gift from God, who shows me the way and leads me to the light.

Challenges

Being in the limelight was not something I was prepared for and it is not as easy as everyone thinks. I would say fame is the most difficult thing to control because your life is no longer private. The media is constantly on your trail and people think all sorts of things about you. These are things that are beyond your control, you can’t get a hang of them. Sometimes the tales are so terrible you just want to sit in your room and cry! Sometimes these stories get to you but over time I have learnt to ignore them.

He is simply a colleague and there is no truth in the allegation that we are dating. It’s false! Because people see us together does not mean we are romantically inclined. It is just a figment of some people’s imagination. Some people are up to mischief. Controversies no longer get to me. I have outgrown many things.

That is my private live. I don’t go personal when granting interviews but I am a mother.

YVONNE NELSON ‘CONFRONTS’ PREZ MAHAMA

Beautiful Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has called on President John Mahama to take steps to improve the plight of "suffering" Ghanaians.

In a blunt tweet Friday afternoon, Yvonne asked the President via his handle, @JDMahama, to “do something” because Ghanaians were ‘suffering.’

Yvonne made a vague reference to the recent hike in recent utility tariffs, implying that Ghanaians were struggling to cope with the new tariffs.

“Mr President. Ghanaians are suffering. The people of Ghana are SUFFERING. #fuel #electricity #water plsdosomething! Thank you,” the actress wrote.

”God save us!!! Help our land”, she added.

TRAVEL AND SEE -SAYS BUDA

Kwaw Kese’s kid brother, Buda, who was one of the promising acts at the just ended Vodafone Icons competition, has released his debut single titled ‘Travel and See’.

Buda’s new song which was produced by Appietus talks about travelling out of one’s comfort zone to explore new avenues.
‘Travel and See’ is a song which promises to be a club banger as we prepare to enter into the festive season off Christmas.

The young chap is currently under Mad Time Entertainment Record Label which is owned by the king of the streets, KwawKese.

The former ‘grader operator’ who hails from Swedru, in the Central Region started music in the primary school and intends to climb up in the Ghanaian music industry.

“As you all know, I’m a ‘Street Boy’ and before I came down to Accra I was ‘grader operator’. As for music, I started way back in primary and JSS,” Buda said.
Since its release, Buda’s ‘Travel and See’ has received a lot of downloads and is currently making waves on radio.
