KYEIWAA ATTACKED! ACCUSED OF DISGRACING GHANA.

Ghanaian local actress, Rose Mensah popularly known as Kyeiwaa has been accused by Isaac Rockson, Public Relations Officer for Kumawood and Akoben Movie Awards of disgracing Ghana.

At a press conference held in Kumasi by Mr. Paul Adjei of Paul Gee Productions on 6th March to allow the press interact with Nigerian actress Patience Ozokwor aka Mama G who was in Kumasi to shoot a movie Mama Africa, Rose Mensah who  was  addressing the press said it is a dream come true for her starring in the same movie with the multiple award-winning Nigerian actress.

She said many people have been questioning her ability to act with English speaking actors because of her inability to speak the queen’s language.

The comic actress stated that due to the prayers of her fans, God has been good to her and the doors have opened for her to work with one of the best actresses in Africa.

“People were crying for me asking how I was going to act with this woman who has featured in over 200 movies because of her experience. I thank God for this dream come true because now people will be surprised when they see how I acted with this her.

This statement made by Kyeiwaa was described by the PRO of Kumawood and Akoben Mvoie Awards, Isaac Rockson as disdain of integrity. According to him, “why should Kyeiwaa wait for an international actress to come to Ghana and work with her before she realizes she is good for international market? If her values and works do not lift her to that international standard, what will Ozorkwo’s one movie do for her?”

These questions by him distracted the press conference hosted at Ceeta-kel Hotel in Asokwa for some minutes as the media present kept discussing about the importance of his criticisms. Dave Hammer, MC for the night said those questions raised by Rockson should be asked when radio and TV stations are reviewing entertainment stories but not when th ey have convened for the purpose of interacting with Patience Ozokwor, the Enugu State born actress.

Despite the MCs effort to prevent answers for Mr. Rockson’s questions, the director for the yet-to-be-released movie, Mama Africa, Director Bentum aka Director 1 said everybody works to meet some people in their lives to realize their career is growing.

“There are popular footballers in Ghana but they all dream to play for an international team someday. Kyeiwaa is now happy that she is going international because she is working with international actors. What we know is that most at times is the English actors who work with them but now the Kumawood actors have had the opportunity to work with them as well. She is happy that she being illiterate has had the opportunity to work with glamour actress because it rarely happens.” Director Bentum answered.

Isaac Rockson who spoke to Ziofelix.com complained bitterly that “why should you disgrace Ghana to foreigners because you are working for money?”
‘Mama Africa ‘is Paul Gee produced movie which features Patience Ozokwor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, Akrobeto, Maame Serwaa, Rose Mensah and other Kumawood actors.
