INI EDO’S BAKERY BUSINESS COLLAPSES AFTER DIVORCING HUSBAND

Information reaching us shows that, Ini Edo who just entered into a Bakery business is loosing her business.

According to sources, the business is as good as dead. The store has been locked and this may be connected with the recent crash in Ini Edo’s marriage.

It was said that several court notices were pasted on the entrance of the store.

Well, lets see how it all ends.

#BBA HOTSHOTS – GHANA’S MA’M BEA IN TROUBLE

It seems the visit of Clint Brink to the Big Brother house has somehow set Samantha and Ma’m Bea on a collision course with Biggie. Earlier in the day yesterday, Clint took the housemates through a trust exercise during which he explained the need to listen and trust one another during performances and generally since they are in the same house. During the exercise, Clint had asked the housemates to get into pairs which took a bit of time to achieve clearly indicating that there were trust issues amongst the housemates. Sheillah had to partner with Clint due to the fact that there are 21 hotshots left in the house. Housemates were required to close their eyes and be led around by their partner.

Clint emphasized the importance of silence during the excercise and afterwards told the housemates that “trust requires reciprocation”. He went on to introduce a falling exercise, with the housemates having to fall backwards with their eyes closed into the waiting arms of their paired partners.

Clint also encouraged the housemates to share a secret with their partners. This perhaps is what necessitated Samantha to share a secret with Ma’m Bea which might put her into trouble with Biggie. It was evident that the lecture from Clint had touched the core of Samantha which perhaps made her forget the game rules. She went ahead to reveal her nominations for the week which is highly prohibited and punishable by Big Brother.

Samantha got personal and told Ma’m Bea that she had nominated her and Laveda saying she did so because she didn’t know them quite well. It is a wonder why she had paired with Ma’m Bea earlier during the trust exercise when she would later be told she would be a victim. Interestingly, Ma’m Bea also felt touched and followed suit by revealing one of her nominees. The petite Ghanaian revealed that she had nominated the Head of House – Nhlanhla. Samantha then went on to tell her that if Nhlanhla was not South African, she would have nominated him as well.

Meanwhile, it is worthy to note that during nominations, Biggie always makes it explicitly clear to all the housemates that it is against the game’s rules to reveal whoever each of them put up for eviction to anyone in the house. It would be interesting to know what will happen to these two housemates after breaking the rules.

GUINNESS CONGRATULATES FUSE ODG FOR WINNING BEST AFRICAN ACT AT 2014 MOBO AWARDS

Guinness has congratulated celebrated Ghanaian musician Fuse ODG for winning the Best African Act at the 2014 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. This is the second successive time the artiste is grabbing the Best African Act at the MOBOs.

Fuse ODG who is the Pan-African Ambassador for the Guinness #madeofblack campaign, won the keenly contested category amongst fellow African musicians Davido, DJ Clock, Dr Sid, Mafikozolo, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Afrikan Boy, Mista Silva and Yemi Alade.

In a congratulatory message, Acting Marketing Director at Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) Judith Osei-Ampofo said “We are proud Fuse ODG has won the Best African Act in the just ended MOBO awards. 

He continues carving his own path and putting Ghana and Africa on the world map. He is truly #madeofblack”
She reiterated that “For the Guinness #madeofblack campaign, black is not a colour, it is an attitude! It is not afraid to break boundaries and rewrite the rules! And that is exactly what Fuse ODG has been pursuing in his music.”

On his official Twitter page (@FuseODG), the multiple-award winning artiste tweeted “Thank u Lord…Just won Best African Act!!!!!!!!!!! Thank u all for the support #MOBOS2014”.
Fuse got three nominations namely Best Male, Best Song and Best African Act.

The 19th MOBO Awards took place Wednesday October 22 at the SEE Arena in Wembley, United Kingdom.

MUSIGHA TO COLLABORATE WITH POLICE

The Ghana Police Service and the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGHA) have held talks to collaborate to promote their common interest.

The two organizations have been playing complementary roles for the benefit of the publics they serve.

A delegation led by the president of the Union, Mr. Bice Osei Kuffuor paid a courtsey call on the Inspector General of Police.

Oseif Kuffour said that the relationship would help the association to enforce the copyright law, which is so much flouted.

He also commended the Police highly for their performance in recent times.

On his part, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan lauded the move, and pledged the commitment of the Police Administration to the cause of the partnership.

He was upbeat about the union between the two, and said it would create a congenial atmosphere for the enhancement of socio-economic activities in the country.

Mr. Alhassan was particularly happy about the formalization of the relationship between the Police and MUSIGHA, as any dealings of the Police with the music industry in the past had been mainly individualistic.

While the Women Organizer of MUSIGHA, Ms. Della Hayes expressed her desire of dealing with the women groups in the Service to empower the womenfolk generally, the Director-General/Operations, COP/Mr. John Kudalor assured the group of the co-operation of the Police Administration.

Also present at the meeting were the Head of Communication and Special Projects, Mr. Ahuma Ocansey, alias Daddy Bosco; the National Welfare Officer, Mr. J.V Owusu, and the Director/Public Affairs of Police, DSP Cephas Arthur.

In another development, a cluster of schools in Accra, represented by Al-Waleed JHS called on the Police Administration to solicit the support of the Police for their Walk to educate the public on Ebola.

Receiving the group, the Director-General/Operations, COP/Mr. John Kudalor expressed admiration for the bold venture, and assured the group of the support of the Police in their enterprise.

The Project Initiator, Rev. Emmanuel Amarquaye of Wisewater Foundation presented some posters and book-makers with information on the Ebola disease to the Police.

THE NEGATIVE REPORTAGE IS TOO MUCH - LYDIA FORSON

Lydia Forson has said that Ghanaian media must support the country’s celebrities by projecting their promotional and positive stories instead of always focusing on the negativity.

The award winning actress told Razz Newspaper that, there will not be any more content to feed on if Ghanaian media continues to destroy the celebrities with their various platforms.

“We should be respected for our works. People must respect what we do. We should be supported!

“The negative reportage is too much in the industry! Look, when you go to Nigeria, they support their own! In Nigeria, when a celebrity does something wrong and positive, the media would report on the positive more than the negative!” Lydia claimed.

“I’m not saying the media should not report on negative happenings but you should do it sparingly! For instance, I know if I attend an event and I fall, its news and you will report – in the same vein, when I do something positive or achieve a fit, the same energy you guys deplored in reporting the negative, should be given to the positive.”

“If you destroy us and we are no more, what will you report on? We must work hand in hand. Without you we can’t be relevant and without us too, you won’t get content so we must work hand in hand and complete each other,” she said.
