Popular Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson is one
of Africa’s important personalities who will be gracing this year’s
edition of FACE List Awards.
The award ceremony is scheduled for Saturday June 15, at New York, Time
Center. The bubbly actress has been invited as a special guest for the
occasion while another Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, will be
receiving an award there.
The 2013 FACE List Awards is host by
Face2face Africa and generously sponsored by State Farm and Arik
Airlines. Six pan-African Movers and Shakers will be honoured for their
commitment to excellence.
This year’s distinguished six
honourees include the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for
Africa, Dr. Carlos Lopes, Founder and CEO of the African Movie Academy
Awards (AMAA) Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, Founder and Publisher of The Network
Journal Aziz Adetimirin, Notable Fashion Designer Korto Momolu, Founder
of the African Development Foundation George Ntim, and Actress Jackie
Appiah.
As an organization devoted to being “The Voice” of the
emergent generation of African descendants, Face2face Africa established
The F.A.C.E. List Awards in 2011 as a platform to acknowledge,
celebrate, and honour the outstanding achievements of Africans and
friends of Africa who are contributing towards a more dynamic and
advanced global community.
There will be several musical acts,
performances and surprises throughout the night. The show will be hosted
by the eloquent and brilliant Eric J. Henderson of Huffington Post, and
will take place at The Times Center in the heart of New York City. Red
carpet will commence at 7:00pm sharp
