Ghanaian musicians to participate in Back to Africa Tour

Two Ghanaian musicians, Nana Boroo and Blak Mexxiah are expected in United States to begin a 6 months charity tour dubbed “Back to Africa Music Tour”.

The tour has been put together by MBE Consult Int, an international consulting company with a vision of reuniting all people of African descent around the world.

The company’s manager, Tina Jones, who lives in Chicago USA said in an interview that: “our core mission as a company is to unitE all persons of African descent around the world” she added that “we have started a journey we are unable to quit; one of our main challenges is to successfully kick Malaria out of Africa”.

She indicated that, Nana Boroo and Blak Mexxiah have been both selected to be on this tour to create awareness on the need to help Africans eradicate malaria; she said “these musicians have been selected particularly because of their dedication towards Malaria prevention in Ghana”

Over the past few months, both musicians, together with their respective bands have been touring the length and breadth of the country campaigning for malaria prevention through music festivals and also distributing hundreds of free treated mosquito nets to families in deprived areas.

Speaking to in an interview, Blak Mexxiah said he was always ready to help any cause that seeks to better the life of the people he dearly loves. He was however concerned about how irresponsible most people he met during the national tour were towards eradicating Malaria. He said “most people don’t even think it is attainable, to them, Malaria is a disease which will live with us”.
