Starr princess Naa Ashorkor Doku
Mensah is getting married to her best friend Ahuma Cabutey Adodoadji in
Accra on Saturday, October 4, 2014.
Naa and Cabutey have been an “inseparable force” since they met nine years ago at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, according to a close friend.
“Naa met him on her first day on Campus. Cabutey was in his final year then. They became friends and two years after, they started dating. They have been together for seven years now.”
Naa in an interview on Starr FM said she is drawn to Cabutey because he is an intelligent man. “He’s intelligent, he’s super smart, he has a great brain and I think that’s what drives me crazy.”
She said although she feels anxious about the union sometimes, she is happy she will finally get to spend the rest of her life with the man who makes her happy.
“Generally, I feel different things at different times. Sometimes I’m extremely excited, sometimes I feel happy and sometimes I feel some calmness in my heart because I feel that I’m finally going to legally spend the rest of my life with my best friend and someone I have known for years, love and appreciate.”
“As other times I feel confused. I think it’s a natural thing. But more than anything I am happy,” she stated emphatically.
Naa is definitely considering making some Adodoadji babies!
“It means spending the rest of my life with someone I love and appreciate, perhaps starting a family.”
The beautiful actress and talk show host said growing up, she had a different idea of what she wanted in a man but Cabutey came along and changed that criteria.
Cabutey is not the tall, deep voiced prince charming she thought but princess Naa is positive she wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world.
“I realise now that what I thought I wanted is not actually what I want. I’m a very simple girl and I appreciate simplicity in everything. So I realise now that I just want someone I can be happy with and that’s what I have and I’m grateful to God for giving me this.”
“I have the best conversations in my life with him. And I think he likes the fact that we can talk for hours about nothing and still have a great conversation.”
