The multi-talented and light-skinned
actress, Matilda Asare has rebuffed rumours circulating in the country
that she is dating Osita Iheme, a Nollywood ace actor popularly known in
showbiz as Pawpaw. In an interview with The Popular, said she went on a
trip to America but rather returned to hear strange rumour.
According to Matilda, she recently went to Nigeria on personal businesses but not to visit her" supposed boyfriend” as she is being tagged with. To her, Pawpaw and herself are professionals and understand their career, adding she has been on set with the actor several times. She explained she met the petit actor twice in Ghana for the shooting of Kumawood movies Boys Abr3 and For Girls respectively.
However she conceded the fact that she likes Pawpaw as a friend and a colleague and nothing more. She told The Popular that as to where those funny rumours got to the media is still a puzzle she is yet to find an answer to. "This is not the first time I'm facing such issues, it is part of my occupational hazards “so I'm cool with it” .She is therefore asking the media to ignore such stories about the story because they are all orchestrated lies and there is no truth in them.
Ghanaian actresses falling for the Nollywood actors have been on the ascendency in recent times. Within a spate of about three years, the industry has witnessed a failed relationship between Yvonne Nelson and Iyanya, and an on and off episode from Nadia Buari and Jim Ike.
Osita Iheme known in showbiz as Pawpaw is yet to marry after years of his colleague actor brother Aki tied the knot some years ago.
