I WANT GOOD SCRIPTS – YVONNE OKORO

Actress Yvonne Okoro is hopeful that she would be seen in more Nigerian movies this year, if she is approached with good scripts.

The actress, who has won several awards for her outstanding performance, has been quite selective with productions over the past years. However, for the past few weeks she has assiduously been working in Nollywood (the Nigerian movie industry).

She last worked in Warri and is currently shooting a set of movies in Lagos with ex-Big Brother Africa housemate, Beverly Osu. The movie which she said was being directed by Nigeria’s ace director Elvis Chuks, is entitled, Walking Tall.

According to her, it is the first time she is doing the business with Elvis Chuks and Beverly. She said she had so far received some good scripts, the reason why she had been busy out there.

She described her work experience on the current set of movies being produced as full of fun.

“It’s the same tedious, tiring but fun as well. Doing what you love always brings about fulfillment,” she told NEWS-ONE yesterday.

This is what Yvonne had to say when asked if she was likely to be seen in more Nigerian movies this year, unlike the previous years when she was very selective with productions. “Every director and what they bring to the set. If the script is good with a great director and cast, of course, I will.”
