Popular actress Yvonne Nelson has
commended the Ghana Police Service for its recent rapid response to her
distress call to rescue her and her friends from their attackers at a
beach.
Reports on Tuesday said the actress was attacked by some four persons at an Accra beach. Yvonne would however not give details of what really happened at the beach when contacted.
She spoke on News-One: “I think the most important thing is to commend the Police for their quick response when I called their short code. It was so fast. I don’t know what would have happened to us if they didn’t come. I was surprised at how the police came that fast. It was amazing. It was like a movie and I must commend them”
Yvonne has in the past been receiving threat messages. Latter part of last year and early this year, she also received death threats.
However, the attack on her came as a surprise to some of her fan base.
