SONY ACHIBA WASHES BOWLS IN LONDON

Many are those who travel outside Ghana to search for jobs which can give them more than what they would have earned if they were here.

In our music industry, one artiste cannot reign for a long time so if you are hailed by many at a particular time, you need to use your head fast and make fortunes out of it or else you will go back to the village few years after.

You won’t believe your ears what movie cum music producer Alhaji Banda disclosed about Sony Achiba – the hiplife artiste who sings like an Indian. Flexghana.com after hearing this allegation by Bandex filed this report. We at OMG!Ghana hope this is not true because if it is then a lot needs to be invested in our industry.

Ghanaian hipdia music originator, Sony Achiba, who is currently domiciled in the United Kingdom, washes bowls in a pantry in London, flexghana.com has learnt allegedly.
This information was disclosed on Saturday 25th January, 2014, by one of Ghana’s influential music and movie producers, Alhaji Banda aka Bandex on Adom fm`s Entertainment Hall hosted by Kojo Preko Dankwah.

According to Bandex who was opining on challenges of the music industry, most musicians who could not stand the vagaries of the music industry, relocated abroad to find some menial jobs to do. He said most of these musicians were going through hard times to survive.

“Could you imagine that an artiste like Sony Achiba now works in a pantry in London, where he washes utensils? This is how our music industry has deteriorated to. Our musicians are suffering a lot and so we need to help them,’’ Bandex revealed.

Our attempts to reach Sony Achiba to get his side of this story has been abortive but we promise to get in touch with him and when we do, we will get his response published.

However, flexghana.com is not by this underrating any particular job or profession. We are just throwing light on why our musicians would abandon the music profession to actively engage in something else.
