It is with deep regret that the entire management team of Merqury
Republic presents this information in connection with the eleventh hour
postponement of Ghana DJ Awards 2012 which was due to unforeseen
technical circumstances.
Many are entertainment pundits and critics who have read meanings
into the sudden and the unfortunate postponement of our maiden awards
show Ghana DJ Awards 2012 which was slated at the national theatre last
week Friday 26th October.
The Ghana DJ Awards production team deems it fit to set the records
straight especially to its fans and supporters who have been angered by
the myriad of false information which has been widely spread by
entertainment reviewers and news reporters. It was really unfortunate
that just some few minutes before the main event, after successfully
setting up stage and even preparing the foyer, it was realized that the
quality in the sound which was of accepted standard from the beginning
was deteriorating, demeaning the standard meant to be set.
Again knowing the premium that had placed on the show and revelers
alike, it became obligatory to save the outfit’s image and credibility
by postponing the event at the eleventh hour.
Mercury Republic is much aware of the effects that this postponement
is likely to have brought to the numerous ticket buyers and press men
who got accredited to cover the event. It is in the wake of this that
the team writes to apologize to the numerous fans out there who were
hurt in one way or the other about the sudden postponement of the DJ
Awards.
Meanwhile, consultations are ongoing with authorities of the National
Theatre to come up with the new date as early as possible. Tickets
purchased are still valid to Ghana DJ Awards 2012.
“Again, we want to by this press release state emphatically that we
did not owe authorities of the national theatre in any way as has been
spread by some industry reviewers”.
The events team apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused
to all DJs in Ghana, nominees and international DJs who traveled from
their respective countries to grace this initiative.
