NAA ASHORKOR: WHY I LOVE MY HUSBAND-TO-BE

Starr princess Naa Ashorkor Doku Mensah is getting married to her best friend Ahuma Cabutey Adodoadji in Accra on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

Naa and Cabutey have been an “inseparable force” since they met nine years ago at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, according to a close friend.

“Naa met him on her first day on Campus. Cabutey was in his final year then. They became friends and two years after, they started dating. They have been together for seven years now.”

Naa in an interview on Starr FM said she is drawn to Cabutey because he is an intelligent man. “He’s intelligent, he’s super smart, he has a great brain and I think that’s what drives me crazy.”

She said although she feels anxious about the union sometimes, she is happy she will finally get to spend the rest of her life with the man who makes her happy.

“Generally, I feel different things at different times. Sometimes I’m extremely excited, sometimes I feel happy and sometimes I feel some calmness in my heart because I feel that I’m finally going to legally spend the rest of my life with my best friend and someone I have known for years, love and appreciate.”

“As other times I feel confused. I think it’s a natural thing. But more than anything I am happy,” she stated emphatically.

Naa is definitely considering making some Adodoadji babies!

“It means spending the rest of my life with someone I love and appreciate, perhaps starting a family.”

The beautiful actress and talk show host said growing up, she had a different idea of what she wanted in a man but Cabutey came along and changed that criteria.

Cabutey is not the tall, deep voiced prince charming she thought but princess Naa is positive she wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world.

“I realise now that what I thought I wanted is not actually what I want. I’m a very simple girl and I appreciate simplicity in everything. So I realise now that I just want someone I can be happy with and that’s what I have and I’m grateful to God for giving me this.”

“I have the best conversations in my life with him. And I think he likes the fact that we can talk for hours about nothing and still have a great conversation.”

EMPIRE ENTERTAINMENT RESPONDS TO DOBBLES BREAK UP CLAIMS

Over the years, duos and groups such as Akyeame, Echo, Klala, Praye, Wutah, D3 and a host of others have separated and taken up solo music careers.

However, a musical duo that is still strong and churning out hit after hit in the spirit of unity is Dobble. Dobble burst out onto the music scene with its first single 'walai talai' and since then, it has moved from one level to the other on the ladder of success even though they are yet to be accorded the necessary recognition.

About two weeks ago, RTP Awards-nominated Radio Entertainment Talk Show Host, Sammy Flex interviewed the Ghanaian duo Dobble on the best entertainment show in Ghana, Flex On Pluzz and among other things, Dobble revealed that they are no more under the umbrella of Bola Ray's Empire Entertainment.

That was quite of a shocking news as many believe that Empire Entertainment is a reputable record label that can help Dobble become a household name.

But deeper investigations by your authoritative Flex Newspaper, has revealed that in as much as the contract between Empire Entertainment and Dobble expired in April 2014, their marriage is far from over as both parties are still in talks to ensure that the contract is renewed.

Speaking to the Assistant Record Label Manager of Empire Entertainment, Emmanuel Kwasi Kwarsie in an exclusive interview, he revealed that under Empire Entertainment, Dobble has released singles such as 'walai talai', 's3k3', 'emana', 'spark ma motor', 'wop3 eyi', 'asor' featuring Guru and Gasmilla, 'deepest side' featuring Shatta Wale, 'good mood', etc.

And with all things being equal, it's expected that as planned, Dobble will release its first album with Empire Entertainment still being its record label.

He noted that, for this reason, Empire Entertainment is most likely to renew the contract it had with Dobble adding that the first album from Dobble, which has already been completed, will be a double album titled 'Africa to the World'.

It's hoped that with the release of 'Africa to the World', the real worth of Dobble as a duo would be felt. As and when the contract between Dobble and Empire Entertainment is renewed, Flex newspaper will be the first media house to let you know.
