You may know him for his wit and humour, a
popular face in many local movies but Katawere, known in real life
as Ebenezer Donkor has temporarily abandoned the cameras to join the
campaign trail of ruling NPP’s Presidential Candidate Akuffo Addo.
The talented
actor has been touring the country with Akuffo Addo as he seeks to
be elected into the highest office of the land come December 7. Katawere told GH Entertainment that Akuffo Addo is a fan of his and usually visits him to entertain him.
According
to Katawere, although he’s not a politician he believes Presidential Candidate Akuffo Addo is the best man to lead Ghana into the promise land.
The
comedian has mounted several political platforms to canvass votes for
the Presidential Candidate saying that a vote for Akuffo Addo, is a vote for a secured
future.
The outspoken comedian maintained that his appearance on
the NPP platform won’t affect his career in the showbiz industry. He
stated that his duty while on the campaign trail is to entertain the
President as well as the teeming supporters that will troop the numerous
rally grounds.
Katawere is currently with Presidential Candidate Akuffo Addo on his campaign tour.

Yvonne Okoro’s ‘Naked Talk’ on Vote rigging is not sexy
The name ‘Yvonne Okoro’ is already a household brand in Ghana and
beyond. She has paid her dues and therefore, the dividends are paying
off for her in her career.
During the period of the Miss Ghana 2012 which her younger
sister-Roseline Okoro was a participant, there were so many issues that
surrounded her (Roseline Okoro) inclusion. Some positive and others
negative. There were even public debates on the case of one blogger who
shared his opinion.
Fast forward to last weekend when the Miss Ghana 2012 final was held at
the Accra International Conference Center. After a long night, the
winner was finally adjudged as Carranzer Naa Okailey Shooter, a 22
year-old medical student of the University of Ghana. Certainly the
winner will be happy but others who didn’t smell the crown will not be.
Surfing through the Twitter social network, I found something very funny from Yvonne Okoro’s handler which read as thus, “thanx
2 evry1 who supported my sis eva grateful, I had a dream of a better
Ghana free from sexual bias n Vote riggin..Mayb 1day..kisses”.
Now with such comment on a social network with so many followers of
her, both locally and internationally, where does this put the image of
Ghana? How does she want the winner to feel? How does she want the image
of the organizers to be seen?
Well noted that she spent a lot in campaigns, written and unwritten
stories about her sister, well that’s part of the game-do what you can
to make sure your person wins. But when the issue goes beyond the elbow,
it should be treated as one.
What I don’t buy in Yvonne’s statement is that she shouldn’t make out
that because her approach did not make her sister win the crown that
means there was some sort of rigging and unfairness.
In that venue that night I can stand witness that the winner came prepared with her brass band team who elevated the hall.
My dear Yvonne Okoro just accept the blatant fact Carranzer Naa Okailey
Shooter is the new Miss Ghana 2012; pick up the pieces and assist your
sister(Roseline Okoro) to move on in life.

Famous actor and comic star John Ikechukwu
Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu is one entertainer whose face and
acts are antidotes for the depressed.
For almost three decades, the actor, comedian, and singer has endlessly dazzled and wowed comedy and movie buffs with his hilarious persona, making him one of the most popular acts in the nation’s entertainment industry globally known as Nollywood.

In this no-holds-barred and exclusive encounter, Mr. Ibu, for the first time revealed the agonies he went through in the hands of his ex-wife, whom he alleged made several attempts on his life and that of his immediate family.
“My ex wife and her cohorts planned and kidnapped my wife and child; they were later released after 10 days... That child later died a year after through poisoning. The fact later came out, but I don’t want to act on it now; I don’t want to massacre anybody…,” he told Entertainment Express.
The humour merchant and star of numerous blockbusters in this riveting chat also spoke extensively on other germane issues, including his battle with poverty, encounter with homosexuals, women and more. The interview, refreshing and fascinating, is a bird’s eye view and also a close up on Mr. Ibu’s world.

No video released this year can match my Heyba – Edem
Rapper Edem, born Denning Edem Agbeviadey has stressed that although he was forced to redraw his last major video, Over Again due to the mixed reactions the video received from his fans, his latest work will make up for the loss.
In his bid to satisfy his fans, Edem will be premiering his latest work, Heyba (Not On My Level) Saturday on Cine Afrik Premieres on Cine Afrik on MultiTV at 7pm and he believes that no video released this year will match up his video.
“I don’t think any video that has been released this year could match up to Heyba. From January to date, I think Heyba will really do well against a lot of videos that have been released,” he told Myjoyonline.com in an interview.
According to him, “this video is going to generate a lot of interest…I think that with the past video and the comments from a cross section of the fans, this video is going to prove to them that yes my team listens to them and how they respect the brand and we don’t plan to downplay the Edem band below their expectation.”
The Ghetto Arise singer was of the view that, “the song itself - Heyba – has a lot of energy at a point when everybody is doing dance related music…the video brings to bear the amount of lyrical dexterity the artiste Edem has.”
While he was “hoping to see the fans' reaction,” Edem believes that, “fans are going to love the video” because “a lot went into this video.”
Asked why he decided to premiere the video on live TV, which will also be simulcast at the Obra Sport at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, he said it was part of his quest to always do things differently.
“I started off my career doing a lot of things differently. I started by rapping in my dialect, I moved on to do an autograph session at the Mall which has become something replicated over the years. We proceeded to do a lot of charity related stuff based on my personal interest for giving hope to people…we are just trying to be different,” he said.
For his choice of Cine Afrik as the medium to premiere the video, Edem said he chose the premium African channel “because the elements of the song Heyba are actually very African and Cine Afrik identifies with stuffs that are African.”
