Ghana's Best Male Rapper

In the ever challenging Ghanaian music market, it has always been difficult for an artiste to break through let alone make profit.

From the development of concept, composing, recording, promoting and marketing the bottlenecks at each stage are just more than enough to make one give up. For the mens in the industry, it's even a non-starter as a result of the male dominance in almost all spheres.

Eno, Ghana's Best Female Rapper

In the ever challenging Ghanaian music market, it has always been difficult for an artiste to break through let alone make profit.

From the development of concept, composing, recording, promoting and marketing the bottlenecks at each stage are just more than enough to make one give up. For the ladies in the industry, it's even a non-starter as a result of the male dominance in almost all spheres.

Of late however, the ladies have been making steady in rows in the various genres of Ghanaian Music. However, the rap game has been the most slippery turf for the ladies and this is where the latest female to join the band wagon comes in.

She is ENO. Born Ruth Nana Serwaa Nyame over 20years ago, she had her basic education at. She continued her SHS at Methodist Day Secondary where she shared the classroom with Sarkodie, Stay J, Yaw Siki and Stone Boy and others. ENO read marketing at Kumasi Polytechnic

ENO has been an entertainer for the most part of her life. As the Entertainment Prefect of her school, she took it upon herself to personally entertain her school mates culminating in the development of her rap talent.

In the very difficult to break through Ghanaian music market, ENO sees her love for what she does and the difference she brings as the main ingredients to her successful music carrier.

The music background of her parents Rev. Abraham Osei Bonsu Nyame Adom a pastor and Mrs. Rebecca Nyame Adom, a school proprietor, gradually developed her interest in and love for music.

ENO has for a long time been a huge fan of Missy Elliot and cherishes how she dispenses energy in her rap songs She bemoans the seemingly lack of women in the rap game hijacked by the males and says it's time for Dr. Aggrey's statement to be materialized.

ENO auditioned for TV3s Gang Starz but her journey into commercial music began on K FM's Freestyle Saturday where she murdered most of the male contestants with dazzling weekly performances. Though she placed fourth in the finals, she took consolation in the fact that she had made her case for ladies in the rap game.

Well aware that most contestants enjoy lots of fame during reality shows but are unable to maximize the opportunity after the competition, ENO zoomed into serious work right after Freestyle Saturday. Her first song was 'What's my name?

She's now out with a banger 'My Love' in which she featured Afriyie formerly of Wutah. Her 10 track 'I'm Out' album of 10 songs has stints of hip hop, dancehall, contemporary Highlife and more Ghana should brace up.

Sarkodie and Trigmatic Turn Herty Borngreat into Rapper

When gospel artiste Herty Borngreat featured Sarkodie and Trigmatic on her album, it became talk of the city as to why a gospel artiste should collaborate with secular music artiste. As everything is done for a reason, same did she have her reasons for that. Herty has been on most stages performing without the any of the two artistes she featured. She was seen at the RTP alone without any of the two artistes she featured on heralbum.

Last Saturday, the Saba hall week at the University of Ghana was a splendid performance staged by the gospel artiste. For the first time in the history of the University, there has not been any performance from a gospel artiste during the artiste night of a hall week celebration. The gospel artistes are usually billed to perform at the gospel rockshow which is usually to commemorate the weeklong celebration.

Herty who appeared on stage last Saturday with full energy rapped perfectly as Sarkodie and Trigmatic would have done if they were to be performing with her.

She didn’t miss any line of the artistes she featured on her tracks. From the “Wa”, “You know say money know be problem” and all the noise that Sarkodie made in the song she made sure everything was on point. Herty after the “kano seyaa” which she featured Trigmatic was followed by “bebree” which she also featured Sarkodie. She was able to move the crowed for them to rap after all the lines BET award winner Sakodie rapped. Herty hinted that, she aimed at winning souls for Christ with the songs that’s why she featured those artistes so that she could get the chance of performing at any event to spread the news.
