Veteran actress, Pascaline Edwards, has revealed that she once had a deep kiss with her cousin.
Pascaline
made this strange revelation when she was interviewed on ETV’s Late
Night Celebrity Show last night – Friday 7th Feb, 2014. On the said
programme, the issue of kissing came up into their discourse.
It
was at that point that Pascaline Edward revealed that she kisses very
well and that she once kissed her own cousin. How possible? The host of
the show asked, only for Pascaline to reveal that her cousin is
celebrated actor, Majid Michel.
“So far I’ve kissed two men
passionately in movies, Fiifi Coleman and my cousin Majid Michel”
Pascaline revealed. Asked how she did it and felt at it, Pascaline said
‘well, I kissed him well but it is not real. The viewer sees it very
real but to me, as much as it was very deep, I felt nothing” Pascaline
added.
Pascaline also went further to disclose that her husband
does not mind her kissing in movies. She said if the husband finds her
kissing in movies offensive, they wouldn’t have been able to marry for
10 years now. ‘I did it for the money. Why, because he is my relative I
shouldn’t have done it? It’s my job!” Pascaline concluded.
Nollywood actress Uche Iwuji has confirmed the breakup of her marriage to Juwon Lawal.
Over
the last few months, there have been various reports speculating the
demise of the union. However, the couple fervently denied the rumours.
Now it has been confirmed. Read the statement below.
”This should serve as the official statement confirming the end to
the marriage formalized on Friday, November 16th 2012 between the CEO of
ABD Fuels Plc, Mr. Juwon Rasak Lawal and actress Uche Iwuji.
Already, the court processes are on to give a legal seal to the separation.
Mr. Lawal was in Europe on a business tour when the story first
broke through the media. This was the reason why he could not react
appropriately to it, plus the fact that he felt the event could be
redeemed.
Although, he would not want to talk about the
reasons for the separation, Mr. Lawal is not married anymore to Miss
Iwuji. And he will like to treat his estranged wife’s case as “once a
friend, always a friend”.
Big Brother lovebirds, Elikem
Komordzie and Pokello Nare say they are disgusted by a publication in a
Zimbabwean newspaper alleging that the Ghanaian said women from his
country are better than Zimbabwean women.
The paper, The Herald,
quoted Elikem as saying in an interview that Ghanaian women are better
in many ways than their Zimbabwean counterparts.
“Ghanaian women
are more beautiful compared to Zimbabwean women because they know how to
take good care of themselves fashion wise; they have manners and are
well cultured, I can say they are ahead and better off than Zimbo ladies
except for my Pokello who has lived up to my billing,” the paper
reported Elikem as saying.
That report angered many Zimbabweans
precisely because the Ghanaian is currently in a head over heels love
relationship with a Zimbabwean, Pokello.
The couple - Elikem and
Pokello - have been infuriated by the publication which they have
described as malicious and a clear misrepresentation of facts.
The
Ghanaian, who is currently in Zimbabwe, took to social networking site,
Twitter, to vent his anger at the report: "In the beginning I
complained [about] media. And [at] the end. @HeraldZimbabwe is no
different. They [came] like they are friends."
"@HeraldZimbabwe. Y
would you quote me wrongly and write what I didnt say. Things u shud
hav put. Isn't it ironic how I complained about the media in the
beginning of this news paper. And yet they go on and do yawa. My wife is
Zimbo. So nw y wud I?" the Ghanaian designer added.
Elikem's
fiancé jump in support of her man also stating on Twitter that: "Media
likes to twist things. The journalist asked Elikem about [Ghanaian]
women and he said they were well cultured."

A reaction from the writer of the story, in a form of a text message to Pokello, blamed readers for misconstruing the report.

text message as posted by Pokello read: "The story is good just that
misconception of people hence reaction Bt very sorry..."
It has been a game of cat and mouse
between Jackie Appiah and Yvonne Nelson for a while now, the cause of
their beef has been attributed to Jackie, but no one has been able to
really say what had caused their problem, the good news is the ladies
may have make up as friends after they were spotted in United States of

started when Yvonne was banned by the Film Producers Association of

The tussle over who has the legal
right to use the franchise and brand name, ‘Ghana Music Week’ has
started again between the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), on one hand
and owners of Mad Time Entertainment on the other hand.
Days
after MUSIGA launched the 2014 edition of the Ghana music Week Festival,
Artiste Manager Fennec Okyere and Rapper Kwaw Kese have dared the
association’s President, Bice ‘Obour’ Osei Kuffour to go ahead with the
festival if he wants to be slapped with a legal suit.
Indeed,
when MUSICA launched the 2013 edition last year, Fennec cried foul,
claiming he had registered ‘Ghana Music Week’ and therefore MUSIGA had
no legal right to use the brand name.
After broad stakeholder
consultations, Fennec yielded to pleas for MUSIGA to be allowed to go
ahead with the event last year because preparations were far advanced
and all was set to roll.
“Obour, myself and Kwaw were all
summoned to the Registrar General’s Department sand they were told by
the arbitrator there that MUSIGA cannot use the name GMW. He further
told them that if they wanted to use the name, they had to negotiate
with us first. But for some reason they are now calling it GMW Festival.
What does the GMW mean?,” Fennec told News-One on Sunday and said he
and Kwaw Kesse are the rightful owners of the brand name.
“We
have incorporated the name Ghana Music Week as our company name and we
have also registered Ghana Music Week as our company name and we have
also registered Ghana Music Week Festival as our product. Kwaw Kese and I
are 50-50 owners of the company and we have all the legal backing to
prove it,” he added and said he has not given MUSIGA any permission to
use the brand name under any condition.
When the dispute broke
out last year chairman of business at MUSIGA said Fennec has no case and
that the brand name actually belongs to MUSIGA.
“I think we
don’t have to waste time on this issue. I am glad that he courts in
Ghana are still potent so we will test the law in this country on this
issue,” Rex, GMW was first celebrated in 2002 and then in 2013 by MUSIGA
and for that reason he did not understand why Fennec and Kwaw Kesse
would go ahead to the Registrar General’s Department and register it as
their company.
“Are you telling me that someone can just wake up
and go and register the name Rex Omar which I have been using on stage
over 20 years? I thank God Ghana is not a jungle but a civilized country
so let’s see what happen,” Rex noted.
Meanwhile, some
entertainment pundits have argued the MUSIGA has all the right to claim
ownership of the GMW Festival because even though they failed to
register the event in their name, they were the first to actually start
an event like that with the name.
However, a source close to the
union told the paper that Obour and some of his executives had earlier
tried to go behind Fennec and Kwaw Kese to register the GMW but he
attempt proved futile.
Perhaps it could be the reason by MUSIGA is calling this year’s edition ‘GMW’ Festival instead of Ghana Music Week Festival.
The
second edition of the GMW would take place from March 3 to March 9,
2014 at the National Theatre, Accra Sports Stadium and some selected
venues in Accra.
Nigerian superstar, Peter Okoye of
PSquare in a recent interview reveals that Psquare would never go solo
and how they share their income.
He also explained how they share their income:

Never!
We are happy and we share 50-50 of everything. If we do an album now
and I am responsible for all the jobs, Paul would still get his 50 per
cent. Sometimes, I would write a song and sing the first verse. Paul’s
voice may not be good for that second verse but you won’t be able to
tell the difference. The only person who may push us to go solo is our
mother and that is not going to be possible.
Nigerian R&B
duo, Psquare composed of Identical brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye have
made their marks in the music industry both at home and abroad.
The
duo who have won over 17 Awards have their own record label, squared
Records and were also signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label in 2011,
while in 2012 signed a record distribution deal with Unversal Music,
South Africa.
Peter Okoye is happily married to Lola with two kids while Paul has a kid with his fiance, Anita Isama.
Contrary to earlier media reports, songstress Efya isn’t waiting to win a Grammy before getting married.
In
an interview with 'Elia Chebib of GH and Beyond', she set the records
straight on what she actually said and how her exact words have been
taken out of context.
“I didn’t say I was not going to get
married till I win a Grammy. I know that’s how it seemed like but this
is what I said :‘I said I’m not ready to get married yet and then in
between the time if I win a Grammy, I would be grateful,” she said.
“I
believe in love and I love love and I love the people that I love and
because of that maybe they love me back and might want to take me
personal but I did not say if I do not win a Grammy, I won’t get
married.”
“I just said that I will like to win a Grammy during
this time when I’m not so engulfed about the whole fantasy of getting
married like some young women do at my age.”
The four time GMA Best Female Vocalist winner also spoke of how her music has evolved over the years.
“My
music has evolved. I can’t say that it hasn’t because I can feel it and
my fans also feel it. And the people that I work with feel it. My
producers also realize that I’m not making the same kind of music that I
used to make before and that is also very good for an artiste because
it shows your level of development at certain point and I love it.”
Efya’s debut album 'Love Genes' is set for release later this year.
