RAMSEY NOAH TELLS HIS TOUCHING STORY ABOUT LIFE

We all have been through times that are very rougher than smooth. That is why we all have different testimonies to give in the future.. Here is a life story from Nigerian Actor Ramsey when he had his rough times.. Read below:

Those were the times when things got really bad for my mother and I and we had nothing. It was so bad that we didn’t have a home or shelter to live in. We had to stay in a store, a small store that could take only one mat. My mother and I squeezed ourselves in that mat. We didn’t even have a cup to drink water not to talk of a stove to cook. And my mother had to borrow, beg and stuff like that. These were moments when I was young I didn’t realize the gravity of poverty we were in, I couldn’t tell. But it was a good orientation for me.

It was moments that I thank God for making me past through, because that has sustained and helped me even as an actor. The ability to deliver all the roles they give me because I have tasted both sides of the coin.

Yeah, those moments; those terrible moments when ………….

we had nothing and we were living off people. People were just helping us out. There were times we didn’t have food to eat three or four days. You haven’t eaten and your stomach is rumbling but you don’t have any place to go. There was a time I lived on the street, in shops. There was a time I slept under the bridge.

It was unfortunate that there were no records so that we can have memories we could play back now. To me, I am so extremely grateful that I went through it. At that time I hated everybody around me. In fact, I used to question why God was doing this to me. But I think God knew that I needed this for my future.

I DON’T REGRET MAKING ‘MOSES’ – AB CRENTSIL

ACE musician, A.B. Crentsil, says he has not regretted making the song ‘Moses’ which generated so much controversy in the country.

Arguably one of the greatest musicians this nation has produced, A.B. (real name Albert Benjamin) rocked the boat in the 1970s with the song ‘Moses’ which became an instant hit, but generated a lot of controversy as many considered it profane.

The controversy even led to the song being banned from being played on national radio by the then government of Kutu Acheampong.

The high life supremo whose archives were celebrated at a legends and Legacy Ball in Accra recently says he has no regrets.

Speaking to The 'Times Weekend' he said “The red sea, the rod and all other things I referred to in the song, are in the bible.

“If you read about Moses and the exodus of the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, you’ll know the song has a biblical base, he said, smiling.

”I was only being creative, using the bible story for a song,” he added.

A.B. said he always felt touched whenever he heard politicians and other notable people singing the song. “It shows it's still a great song.”

He urged young ones and up-and-coming musicians to work hard to be counted among the country's heroes.

“We should not wait for people to die before they are celebrated.”

He asked the up-and-coming to emulate the exploits of the old musicians, so that they could also become heroes.

HAS JACKIE APPIAH SACKED HER MANAGER?

Popular Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah seems to have parted ways with her long term friend and manager, Samira Yakubu.

It all started when the rumour mill stirred a wake that the two ladies were falling apart due to reasons they will not want the public to know. Amidst all the rumours, it is becoming clear that there seem to be a kind of bad blood between Jackie and Samira.

The pending beef became more glaring when, for the very first time, Jackie Appiah attended the Ghana Movie Awards without her manager, Samira. Instead, she came with a new set of people which included a new bodyguard.

According to our sources, Jackie was heard whispering to another colleague in the movie industry insinuating that she had grown from the ‘little girl’ Samira used to know.

Also we gathered that Samira in her own right is not really happy with Jackie’s new found love, Obodo. But in all this, whatever the future outcome will be, we shall inform you first.

On the night of the GMAs 2013, Jackie won two awards namely; Glitz Magazine Favorite Actress and A Performance by an Actress in a Leading

SHIRLEY NOT MY ENEMY – SAYS LEILA

Movie Director Leila Djansi has stated that there is absolutely no bad blood whatsoever between herself and her fellow award-winning filmmaker, Shirley Frimpong-Manso.

The two ladies are reputed as the best movie directors in the country and the competitive nature of the industry they find themselves has fueled speculations that they have some rivalry that has degenerated into enmity.

Indeed, though they are in the same industry they have never been spotted together until they were announced as co-winners for the Best Director Award category at the recent Ghana Movie Awards.

Both directors had to mount the stage to receive the award which was presented by renowned actress Akorfa Ejiene Asiedu.

Shirley, in receiving the award, announced she was privileged to be on stage with Leila while the ‘Northern Affair’ director also congratulated Shirley.

Media reports after the show described their gesture as a ‘melodrama reconciliation’ to bury the hatchet.

Leila, however, told NEWS-ONE that she had no issues with Shirley. She said they were not enemies and as such the issue about reconciliation was neither here nor there.

“We are not enemies. I don’t really understand why somebody will say that we are,” she added.

Leila has to her credit some very good films including the recently produced ‘Northern Affair’, ‘Sinking Sands’ and ‘Ties That Bind’.

Shirley also recently premiered her latest film, ‘Potomanto’. Some of her previous award-winning movies include ‘A Sting In A Tale’, ‘Life and Living It’, ‘6 Hours To Christmas’, ‘Adams Apple’ and ‘Checkmate’.
