Sarkodie may have recently released a
song about women and the troubles that come with being a star but he
certainly did not shy away from walking the red carpets of the 2013
Channel O Music Video Awards in South Africa ‘hand-in-hand’ with this
hot girl.Sarkodie was last weekend at the Channel O Music Video awards flashed the cameras with his gorgeous long time girlfriend Tracy.
The two were spotted walking hand in hand and also hanging out with P-Square and Wizkid.
Tracy, according our checks, is said to be the lady on the other side
of the rappers life, having been with the rapper even before his life as
a celebrity.
However, it is not too clear if the two are still dating like their appearance at the awards ceremony seems to suggest.
The two, Tracy in an all-yellow dress slightly slit on the left thigh
with moderate jewellery to match, blended beautifully as her man
Sarkodie spotted a white top with black trousers and his not-to-be
missed bold Sark belt.
Sarkodie, a BET Award winner and prolific entertainer in an interview
with KSM on the TGIF show, is quoted as saying he is not planning to get
married soon but is contemplating having kids with a Ghanaian woman.
On June 29, this year, the ace rapper shared a photo on Instagram of
him with a mysterious lady in what looked like a date-mood captioned
“Will u marry me”.
Though there were speculations about the identity of the said lady,
Ghlive.com can confirm that Tracy is the same woman in that picture, to
whom the Sark collection owner had asked the BIG question.

Details soon.

Pastor TB Joshua has finally lent his voice on the much-talked-about Jim Iyke deliverance that held in his church months ago.
In
a recent interview with Punch, TB Joshua of SCOAN – Synagogue Church Of
All Nation – cleared the air on Jim Iyke’s deliverance and other
allegations that he pays people to come and fake miracles.
On Jim Iyke
Oh please, don’t drag me into that. All I can say is that if a person
needs to see a doctor, he should be free to do so. I like the young man.
He has been defending himself on the internet. Is he not enjoying a
better life now? Are things not working for him?
On allegations he pays people to fake miracles
How
much will I give to the president of a nation to come here? Even when
they come, I don’t get any financial gain but I incur cost because I
want to ensure that they are well cared for. That is all; I even prefer
to spend my time with the poor than to be with the presidents.
If a president visits this place today, the whole of the day will be
devoted to that visit, I would have lesser time for the poor people, who
need my attention. God has been warning me over this trend so much that
when some presidents said that they wanted to visit me, I said no.
I said it would be better for me to visit them in their countries. Each
time they visit this place, I receive query from God because of my time
that should have been used to attend to the poor and the needy that are
waiting for me.
One soul is not superior to the other, why
should I continue to receive query? Really out of three presidents that
may visit, there will hardly be one that will show good example of the
counsel that they received from me. If the needy are more receptive to
God, it is better to give them more of my time.

With his reasonably good looks and
swag, young actor, Emmanuel Darko aka Cartoon, has attracted many
admirers, especially young women, who regularly follow his exploits in
the Afia Schwarzenegger television series.
According to the 14-
year- old student of the St. John’s Grammar School in Accra, even ladies
in their early 20s are constantly pestering him to date them.
“I don’t know what they want from me. I’m just a young boy lucky to be
enjoying a little fame from the Afia Schwarzenegger show. I want the
ladies to know that I’m too young to date them,” Cartoon told Showbiz in
an interview last week.
Asked how he manages to parry the
unsolicited attention he gets from women, Cartoon said there had been
times when he had to be plain nasty to ward off female admirers.
“I
have had to be unpleasant to some of the ladies who would not give me
breathing space. I had to do that to free myself from the harassment,”
Cartoon revealed.
The young actor said he often receives romantic
messages on his phone and Facebook wall from lady admirers. He prefers
to finish his education before getting into a relationship. “ My focus
at the moment is to further my education and get a good job before
paying attention to the ladies, ” Cartoon noted.
Cartoon got onto
the Afia Schwarzenegger series when Delay, the programme’s creator and
producer saw him perform at a Sarkodie concert and decided to feature
him on her series.
He revealed that he was initially nervous
about acting but has since adjusted into the role. Apart from appearing
in the series, he has also appeared in a movie called Fakye.
Away
from love matters, Cartoon seems not to be happy about the fact that
people see him as a “too known” person. According to him, he had
received several comments about him being “too known.”
“That makes me sad because whatever is shown on TV is only make believe.”
Cartoon,
who placed fourth in the second Talented Kidz contest on TV3, has
worked with musicians like Kobbi Rana and Guru. He is currently in
studio working on some singles under his own name.
“I want to
take music seriously because I love everything about music. Education is
my priority but I’m keen to do music alongside,” he told Showbiz.

One of Ghana’s foremost contemporary traditional music icons, Sherifa Gunu, says she lives and works for peace.
Sherifa
Gunu is described by many as crowd shaker, puller and a real performer
when it comes to singing and dancing. She is a princess of the royal
family of Dagbon, in the Northern part of Ghana.
In a tell-all
interview on Brunch in the Citi, ahead of this year’s MOGO 2013, she
revealed that her destiny is to unite the world.
“I’m destined to
call the whole world together for peace. My princesss’ duty is to
people. Even if I don’t have that strength I know God is leading me to
that point. I was born for peace and I will do anything for peace,” she
revealed.
Sherifa Gunu is a Moslem, she's married to a Christian
and she hopes that union would spread the message of PEACE to the rest
of the world.
“Islam and Christianity is a family building thing.
I don’t know why the two religions should be divided and fighting. It
doesn't make sense. If you trace the ancestry of Jesus and Mohammed,
you’d know they are cousins. We have to learn how to love one another
and love each other… May God bring the whole world to one vision and
shame satan,” she preached.
Sherifa Gunu is set to spread the
love and the peace on Friday 6th December at the National Theatre when
the whole nation converges to enjoy quality music of Ghanaian origin.
The
MOGO concert seeks to ‘celebrate the past and inspire the future.’
Other musicians billed to perform on the night include K.K. Fosu,
Okyeame Kwame, Kwaisey Pee, Awurama Badu, Samuel Owusu and the Ohia Be
Ye Ya Band.
Tickets are available at Citi FM, Hotel JoeCarl in Tema and Silverbird Cinema, Accra Mall.

The Institute of Media Practice (IMP) has launched the Media and Broadcasting Awards (MaBA) at a ceremony in Accra.
The
ceremony at the Silver Lounge witnessed the president of the Institute,
JOT Agyeman, mentioning that the MaBA had been conceived about ten
years ago.
He added that the awards would be an annual event
that seeks to recognize and honour individual journalists and media
organizations for excellence in specific areas of national life,
including health, education, sanitation and entertainment.
He
further added that the jury for the Media and Broadcasting Awards had
been mandated to come up with awardees, who would be proper role models
and examples of what true media practice in Ghana is.
“We will
guarantee that as we hand over the baton, those who will take our place
will see in us a profession worth living and dying for”, he reiterated.
Unlike
other Media and Broadcasting awards, the MaBA will establish a Media
and Broadcasting Hall of Fame, where exceptional media practitioners
with long proven records will be considered for induction into the Hall
of Fame. Also, the MaBA will award a Media and Broadcasting Student of
the Year as well as the Media Entrepreneur of the Year.
In his
address, the president also announced that come March 7, 2014, the jury
made up of Kofi Akpabli, author and two-time CNN African Journalist of
the Year award winner, Kofi Tsikata, Senior Communication Specialist,
World Bank Ghana Office; Akwasi Agyeman, Vice-president of the Ghana
Independent Broadcasters Association; Florence Toffa, Country Director,
Mobile Web Ghana and Kofi Bucknor, a former Director of Television at
the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, who is the jury president, will come
up with the names of the nominees for the 16 categories of the awards.
JOT
Agyeman expressed optimism that those who will emerge the eventual
winners in the various categories will be proof that the future of the
media landscape is very bright.
“I am confident that come 7th of
March 2014, the names of the great and the good will leave no doubt in
our minds that the future of the media landscape is very bright”,
hemphasized.
The launch of the MaBA was graced by some media
practitioners and some of the jury members. It was supported by the
National Media Commission and its Chairman, Ambassador Kabral
Blay-Amihere.
The awards event is being organized by the
Institute of Media Practice (IMP), a research-based media institute in
West Africa that offers internationally recognized research and data for
organizations that require data for business. It was this institute
that compiled the Ghana Television Report.

He
was so overcome by emotion that as a short documentary on his music
career was shown to the audience at the MTN Legends and Legacy (LAL)
Ball at the Accra International Conference Centre last Saturday, AB
Crentsil could not hold back the tears.
His wife held herself together, wiped away the tears and cuddled him like a baby being consoled by its mother.
Until
that moment came, the highlife superstar had been profusely praised for
his abundant contribution to the progress of popular music in this
country and a string of well-known, younger artistes had done their
takes of some of his popular songs.
They included Castro,
Raquel, Koo Ntakara, Kwabena Kwabena, Efya and No Tribe. King Ayisoba
was on stage but did not play any AB Crentsil song.
It was not
only the known artistes who rendered AB Crentsil songs on the night.
Presidential candidate in the 2012 elections, Hassan Ayariga did a
rousing version of Juliana and actor Kofi Adjorlolo was simply great
doing the ever-popular Moses. He sang and played his trumpet as well.
Attendance
at the Imajin Advertising-organised event to honour AB Crentsil was
fair considering the fact it rained in most parts of Accra in the early
evening and there were other major entertainment programmes in the city.
Former President, John Kuffuor was at the event. He was present
at the 2011 LAL Ball where Daddy Lumba was honoured and made it to the
celebration of Amakye Dede last year. When emcee Kwami Sefa Kayi
announced that the Gentle Giant had been to all three LAL Balls, the
audience clapped for him.
It was a great opportunity for the
featured artistes to do justice to some of AB Crentsil’s composition. It
was a delight to hear the unique touches they all brought to the
material of a man they have a lot of respect for.
Raquel, for
instance, did a splendid version of Akpeteshie while Efya soared high
and high into the jazz firmament with I Don’t Know Why. Kwabena
displayed his mastery of the highlife medium with Obi Baa Wiase and
Castro was spot-on with Aboa Oni Dua.
It was an enjoyable affair
for the audience as some of them danced their hearts away, obviously
happy to be present on the night when that giant highlife star was
celebrated.
The man himself later took to the stage and performed
some of his classic pieces like Angelina, Atea, Papa Samo, Obi Baa
Wiase and Adwoa. It was way past 1.00am on Sunday then, but some of the
audience still had enough energy left to shake their bodies to his
scintillating highlife.
Bassist Dan Grahl and his Shabo Crew were
in good form as the carpet band. They appeared to have rehearsed well
with all the artistes they backed.
A number of presentations were
made to AB Crentsil as well as his wife on behalf of MTN, Imajin
Advertising and the Musicians Union of Ghana. AB Crentsil turns 70 next
January and the 2013 MTN Legends and Legacy (LAL) Ball was definitely an
appropriate pre-birthday gift from Imajin Advertising.
Sponsors
and supporters of the 2013 MTN Legends and Legacy Ball included Global
Access, Special Ice, GTP NuStyle, Jandel Limited, Oak Plaza Hotel, Sign
Language, Golden Tree, Jaanam Car Rentals, Starbites Food and Drink,
Atitiriw Magazine, Dream Oval and Digital Innovations.
