Nigeriafilms.com reports that pressure is
being mounted on beautiful actress Ini Edo to give birth or prepare to
quit her marriage.
“Ini Edo is not a happy woman at the moment. The reason is that if urgent steps are not taken, her marriage might crumble and she would join the league of Nollywood actress with failed marriages.
Grapevines alleged that pressure is being mounted on her handsome
husband, Philip Ehigwina, by his family members to dump the charming
actress. Ini Edo’s in-laws are not happy that the glamorous actress
hasn’t given them a child after about four years of marriage,”
Nigeriafilms.com reported.
“These Edo people are just too
funny, they have already told Philip to chase away Ini Edo since she
can’t give them a child,” the website’s source claimed.
“But
come to think of it, why would Ini Edo’s in-laws interfere with her
marriage?” This was quickly answered by the first busy-body, “that’s Edo
culture for you. Their sons don’t have much say in their marriages,”
another source stated.
“We were told by the industry grapevines that
Ini Edo has been telling some of her close allies that with the way
things are going; Philip might eventually give in to his family’s
demands. Tale bearers further told us that after Ini Edo attended her
hubby’s late mother’s burial in April 2013, things have really not been
well with the once upon a time happy couple.”
However, the actress
has denied that her marriage is being troubled. She told
Nigeriafilms.com that the story was an unfounded rumour.
According to the Akwa-Ibom-born beauty, “no matter what you people
(press) write, it is not going to change the fact that I am happily
married. I think you guys should be tired of all these. From the first
day I got married, you people have been plotting all sort of evils, I
don’t know why you are not giving up on it. It is never going to happen.
That’s what I have to say”.

Is there hope in Hope City?
The reactions to Chris Brown’s performance at the Hope City concert on Tuesday, organized by Charterhouse who have denied that the artist smoked marijuana live on stage, are both funny and scary.
From the day we all heard the amount that was paid to the artist to the day he performed and made a mockery of Ghana by smoking and using vulgar language, some of our readers saw it as a clarion call for the security agencies to be more alive in their responsibilities, while others regarded it as a comical indictment of the organisers, who chose to speak out unwisely instead of hiding their faces in shame, see Charterhouse denies Chris Brown smoked “weed”.
It got funnier when the financier of the Hope City concert sent in this release STATEMENT: Rlg – Chris Brown smoked “an electronic cigarette”stating that the alleged marijuana was an electronic cigarette.
Why was Chris Brown invited to Ghana at all given his background of mal-handling the opposite sex? We must ask this question: if organisers thought that a person with such a questionable history was worthy of performing in front of thousands of Ghanaians, is there really hope in Hope City?”
In 2007 and 2012 in Sweden and Norway respectively, Snoop Dogg, a major hip hop artist, was been detained and fined for possessing marijuana. And what happened to Chris Brown when he lit his marijuana and smoked on stage In Ghana? He got off scot-free? Thus, the question is there ‘hope’ in Hope City?”
A warning must be sent to Chris Brown, through the organisers, that we shall not be cajoled by their flimsy excuses before bringing another law breaker to Ghana to pummel, trample and ridicule our culture all in the name of entertaining us. To be forewarned is to be forearmed!

There is too much ignorance in Ghana - Kwaw Kese
Ghana’s king of the streets, Kwaw Kese also known as Abodam, says there is too much ignorance in the country which is killing the creative arts industry.
Kwaw Kese was sharing his thoughts on the infamous Chris Brown weed smoking saga at an Rlg program on Tuesday.
He said if it were a Ghanaian artist who had smoked weed on stage, he will not be walking freely even from stage.
“There is too much ignorance in Ghana, Ghanaian Dj’s play songs from the west that contain the ‘F’ and ‘N’ words on radio but refuse to play songs played by Ghanaian artist… “My song Fle Fle was not played because someone thought I was insulting somebody” he laments.
“We gave him the opportunity, because if the organizers had briefed him on the dos’ and donts of our society he would not have done that,” the Abodam man said.
“Chris brown cannot stand on any American stage and smoke weed, so doing that in Ghana is respect to the whole nation.
“A lot of people smoke, Artistes, Djs, politicians; but it’s not something you go out and do in public,” the street branded artiste said.
Chris Brown’s choice of stage antics has been a subject of discussion in the country, some members of parliament have called for his immediate arrest while a group is purported to have lodged a complaint at the stadium police station for his arrest.
Though organizers of the event Charterhouse and Rlg have come out in separate accounts to explain the situation, their position seems to have fueled public anger.
Police PR Cephas Arthur in an attempt to explain actions by the police asked if Ghanaians can say they have not done this before.
He said we must take the log out of our eyes, and then we will see clearly to take the speck out of our brother's eye.

Chris Brown throws bodyguard off plane in Bermuda after show in Ghana
Chris Brown allegedly threw his bodyguard off a plane.
The controversial R&B star abandoned his long-time bodyguard known as Big Pat in Bermuda after a pit stop on the Caribbean island on Wednesday after they apparently got into a fight on board.
An airport worker explained to The Bermuda Sun newspaper: 'I'm not sure of the details of what happened on the plane but his plane came in, got services and everything was finishing and they were getting ready to leave.
'Then there was a stall. The security guard [Big Pat] got off first. He was standing outside talking to the pilot. Then Chris Brown and another guy came off. They had to come inside to Customs.
'They then went outside to have a cigarette. The security guard came inside [an airport building] and said he wasn't getting back on the plane.'
The bodyguard told the staff member he had an 'altercation' with Chris. Big Pat was forced to take a Jet Blue commercial flight to New York City's JFK Airport after the furious Don't Wake Me Up singer jetted off in his private plane.
The 23-year-old singer was travelling back from his gig at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana, West Africa on Tuesday.
Big Pat has stuck by Chris through his previous temper tantrums and even took a glass bottle to the head during the star's club brawl with love rival Drake last June.
Meanwhile Brown was at the centre of another bust up on Wednesday night - after allegedly threatening a valet parker at a Los Angeles bowling alley over the $10 service charge.
TMZ is running a video of the altercation, in which Brown is seen getting irate, saying: 'Gimme my f*cking keys ... f*** ten dollars.'
He then added: 'Gimme my keys ... we gonna turn this whole spot up ... I promise you.'
A source close to Brown told the website the singer was annoyed because he was being 'fleeced'.
Other customers at the PINZ bowling alley in Studio City were only charged $5 and Brown felt he was taken advantage of because of his fame, the insider said, adding it was the 'principle' of the matter rather than the money.
The website reports he eventually drove off, but said it was not clear whether he paid the fee or not.
Hours later Chris apparently held up traffic after blocking a lane near La Brea Blvd and Hollywood Blvd with his Dodge Viper car.
According to X17 Online, police approached the vehicle and found it empty. Brown later emerged from the Emerson nightclub and spoke to police who allowed him to drive away without a ticket.
